Amazing historic scenery, informative plaques and signs are everywhere. You've got to visit Fort Moultrie if you do get on the island.
Don't miss this street on your visit to Charleston. It's one of the most famous (and colorful) spots. The homes are beautiful and whimsical. The purple is my favorite.

Pseudo-classy joint has the attitude of a night club you'd find in Dubai, while still being VERY South Carolina. Most people have all their teeth, which is nice.
Be prepared to learn about the Upcountry history of South Carolina that you probably did not know of.
If you love Okinawan food you will love this place. The food tastes amazing. The waitress is very nice and professional. I'm here for a month and I ate dinner there almost everyday.
