- 1 of my fave dishes here is the linguine w/ shrimp & broccoli. The lemon garlic sauce is so yummy! My friend who's a rather picky eater is addicted to this dish now too, after trying mine once!
- Another of my fave dishes here: BBQ pork chop entree. YUM! And a healthy portion! The collard greens are made comfort-style w/ bits of pork too! Usually comes w/ mashed potatoes. I asked for roasted.
- The food here never disappoints, not to mention clean environment w/ pleasant ambiance & a warm welcoming staff inc the charismatic manager Ben and friendly bartenders Andrew & Tim!
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantMay 23, 2019Great kale salad. Don’t understand however how this place stays in business. Only one other table occupied while all restaurants in area were jam packed for lunch.
- Food LoverSeptember 14, 2011From the Remoulade to the Arugala Goat Cheese Salad and the Corn Soup are superb! And dont miss the Mocha Pie, fantastic.
- Jade Bailey-AssamFebruary 4, 2013Nice brunch spot. They give you a $1 mimosa or Bloody Mary with each entree order. Great deal!
- 1 of my fave neighborhood spots! Andrew is the best bartender there. Visit him on thurs, fri, sun or mon!
- Love this place! Great food, comfortable and pleasant ambiance, awesome staff. They even have a late night menu!! :)
- Sonny DatoyMay 13, 2011the southern-style fried chicken was surprisingly good. better than rack & soul's, a few blocks away.
- Sandy CampbellJanuary 6, 20136 out of 10. Attractive and very comfy, but food is meh. Basket of 7-grain bread was stale. Prefab burger was tasty enough, but fries were cold. Took forever to get fresh ones. Amazing coffee, though.
- Lionel WhiteDecember 4, 2013Don't come for dinner if you're in a hurry. The service is slow, the food inconsistent - some of us had cold food and some hot - the wait staff is, at best, inattentive. The bar is the place to be.
- Andrew is the best bartender there! Visit him on thurs, fri, sun or mon.
- Ron CaldwellFebruary 6, 2010A neighborhood institution. Great place to go for comfort food. Nice bar. Often remodeled, for some reason.
- Seth CarlsonApril 9, 2013I visited this place because it was a NY Mag critics' pick. The jambalaya was a big disappointment. Bland and syrupy. The waitress didn't recognize the cocktail I ordered from the menu. Won't be back.
