By far the best beach in Los Angeles. A place where you can chill, people watch, see some amazing art and crafts and walk your dog. A place I call home. I love Venice!
Just an awesome place to walk, eat, ride the games, hang out in general. No visit to NYC is complete without coming here.

Go here for a close encounter with sea lions. You can swim with them, stand right next to them, it was awesome.

Come during the week .. less crowded .... Need to always bring warm clothes ... Even on warm days ... The wind comes up quick and gets cold
Walk the strand to the north end and back to the pier, it's one of my favorite things to do and is great exercise!
Best east coast beach by far. Free, fun, safe! Dolphins, surf fishing, kite flying, sun bathing! Amazing!
One of the nicest beaches in Florida. If you come around 9 am,you can see dolphins swimming close to the shore!

Beach is great. There's better alternatives, to save the $10 parking, head closer to beside the Ritz, walk the trails, jump off couple of heights to an unfrequented beach that's also dog friendly!
Want to cool down? Need a break from the beach? Walk over to Rita's (Main & Strand) for east coast/boardwalk-style custard & Italian ice. Your taste buds (and kids) will thank you.
I love the friendly people and beautiful water colors. You can rent beach chairs or bring your own. It isn't over crowded.
Definitely the best part of the beach spread because it's so desolate. Excellent for meditating or kettlebells or any workout really :-D
Go farther south past the pier and take the stairs down for awesome views along the rocks or climb down the cliff to a sick secluded beach when the tide is low.
A great beach in LA because its big - just about a mile long from the Washington pier to the jetty - wide, fairly clean, has parking & bathrooms, and most of all - it is rarely crowded.
Lots to see, beach is awesome, plenty of food and drink. Visit the pier and go crabbing! We were pulling them in and in 30 minutes had caught around 10 or more.
Was introduced to this place solely because of its view. Went here the second day arriving in Washington. Kayaking and you can even rent bikes and ride around with your family or friends.
Avoid the usual beach crowds at this away-from-the-subway location. NYC Beach Bus offers cheap round trips from Williamsburg.

Tons of restaurants surround the area, and there's a fishing pier, too. Cool place to hang.
