The lighthouse is one of the iconic symbol of San Diego. The view is awesome. The monument includes old parts of Fort Rosecrans an Army installation built in 1898.

This is a perfect trail for families or when less athletic visitors come to town. Paved and relatively flat but stellar views at the beach. A real gem. Parking can be crowded though so arrive early.
Trail is beautiful. First time at falls and it was cool climbing down a mini cliff to get there and climbing down to the beach.
