Refreshing, crisp and slightly fragrant Sauvignon. Endlessly quaffable and ideal with spicy or strong flavoured dishes

Made from the old southern French variety Picpoul, this is becoming something of a cult wine. On the nose there are citrus notes and just a hint of saltiness. The palate is lively and fresh. A classic match for oysters and seafood.

A pronounced, herbaceous nose with plenty of ripe gooseberries, guava and nettles on the nose - very typically Malborough style. The palate is crisp, racy and mouth-watering with hints of grapefruit, guava and gooseberry followed by a long, enticing finish.

A top notch example from a respected grower. Defraix Chablis displays minerally, flinty notes on the nose with touches of green apple. The palate is elegant, dry and characterised by crisp, citrus flavours overlaid with smokey notes. Long, complex finish.

Albarino has long been likened to Riesling for its lemony, crisp style but this indigenous grape of the region Galicia has a personality very much of its own. Paired with seafood or shellfish, it is a delicate, invigorating partner.

A delightfully crisp, fruit driven white with hints of green apple and pear on the nose. Bright. juicy fruit on the palate with a tangy, refreshing finish.

Haunting honeysuckle and apricot aromas on the nose with a rich, almost anctuous palate that is somehow still dry, tangy and refreshing.

Spain's most famous grape variety, Tempranillo is full of juicy bramble and cherry fruit with hints of spice. Deliciously supple and succulent, it is great on its own or with grilled lamb cutlets, mild curries or casseroles.

On the nose it has abundant, ripe red fruit with floral notes. On the palate it has a soft, delicate texture with the lively acidity that is typical of Pinot Noir.

Carmenere is originally from Bordeaux but has found a new home in Chile where it makes wines somewhere between Merlot and Cabernet but with a little more peppery spice character. Nostros Reserva has a concentrated, plummy fruit, touches of chocolate and spice and a long velvety finish.

The 2008 Cabernet from the Limestone Coast displays all the rugged and powerful characteristics of the best Australian Cabernet, yet it is also elegant and balanced. The wine is deep and generous with blackcurrants, plums and wood spice on the palate. The finish is long, silky and smooth.

This Shiraz would normally sell for twice the price but opportunity came our way and this is the result. A deep, inviting crimson black with an intense cassis, plum and bramble nose. Rich, voluptuous and silky on the palate with creamy black fruits and a little savoury smokiness from oak.

Reaching​ its plateau of maturity, showing ripe, plummy fruits with hints of cassis and cedar. Well integrated tannin provides structure to a wine of great elegance and complexity.

Inspired by the old gnarled Shiraz vines and by a phrase in the film “The Big Lebowski”, Gnarly Dudes is a declassification of Two Hand’s famed Bella’s Garden Shiraz. Immensely concentrate with an almost opaque core of ripe, intense black fruits, it has a silky smooth texture followed by savoury, creamy fruit and hints of charred meats and coffee. The finish is well structured but opulent, enveloping and very very long.

Succulent, juicy and fruit filled, this wine simply screams of lazy summer days, the first rays of sun on your back and the smack of salt on your lips from a grilled, freshly caught sardine.
