I would recommend this movie theater to anyone and make sure to go to a matinee showing it because movies tickets are $5 apiece as well as the staff is really friendly and very helpful- Creative Loafing CharlotteAugust 4, 2013Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14 has an inviting lobby, more than a dozen screens (one of which is usually employed to show Bollywood films for the city's Indian population) and an awesome fish tank.

They have $5 dollar movies on the weekends before 4pm. Also, their seats are pretty comfy compared to the other theaters in the area.
Very clean and friendly. Get to your movie early though, especially opening weekend. Theaters are a bit small and racing for good seats is more likely.
Make sure you sign up for a Ayrsley Perks card and get a free popcorn every time you go.- Good movies, excellent seats, good service. Secret hint: matinees are $5 on Sunday, including 3D movies. $2 for the glasses and you can see a 3D movie for under $10. Great deal!
Let me update some of the other tips: all shows that start before 4pm are $5(all the time). There is a $3 surcharge on all 3D movies(no matter what start time).

Amauris MorelJanuary 26, 2014Make sure you get everything you pay for at the concession stand. Didn't give me my milk duds. I went back they said they can't help without a receipt, but they don't give receipts if you pay cash.
One of the only places around that offer free flavored salt for popcorn. White Cheddar with a little Nacho Cheese = bomb.
Sit in the very top row for extra leg room! Seriously, its like 2 feet more!

If money matters, then this is a better choice than AMC. Everything is less expensive with no noticeable compromises.
This theatre sucks. We go out of convenience. The Sound is ALWAYS too low. The staff doesn't care and everyone talks during the movies.
Had to leave early due to disturbing teens . When informed staff and manager they appeared indifferent of the concerns. It was like being at an out of control daycare

Be nice the police officers, they have a hard enough job. Do you wear a bullet proof vest to your job?
- Be prepared to go ask them to turn up the volume. it's never loud enough.
DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES TO THE MOVIE, AND DO NOT TALK THE ENTIRE TIME. THAT IS ALL- Be prepared to request them to turn up the volume. It's Never loud enough!
