- My favorite place to get Brunch, by far! Staff is super friendly and the food is excellent. You can never go wrong with the Broadway Blues or the Triberry Waffle. NOM NOM!
- Clare LynchNovember 21, 2015Get a huge breakfast platter, or the even huger omelette. Throw in a side french toast or pancake, just for the heck of it. It's brunch, and you only live once.
- A SMarch 31, 2017The coconut Macaroon French toast is great. The owner is so kind, he'll personally keep giving you updates on how long it'll take to get a table, waiting in line (which is a given on a weekend!).
- Sarah SG.May 31, 2017Chocolate chip pancakes, delight waffles, and banana with Nutella french toast are pretty awesome!
- Matthew PopekJune 3, 2014Belgian waffles are incredible. Be prepared to wait for weekend brunch; there aren't a lot of large tables, so keep your groups small - but it's absolutely worth it.
- Alex KasemirApril 25, 2016Get the French toast delight if you really really like fruit. The plate is a fruit salad on French toast! Fruit salad, yummy yummy
- Patricia M.July 31, 2015The omelettes were freaking big and they were all so delicious! Be sure to be very hungry. If not, they can always pack it for you!
- Carrie BevisAugust 13, 2015Mike's staff will take great care of you. Get the French Toast delight with piles of fruit and homemade whipped buttercream. Half orders available!
- The Next Great Generation (Boston)January 20, 2012Lesser known than Johnny D's, Ball Square Café boasts the same cheap prices without the crowds. You can get three pancakes for $4.50 or a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich for $3.50 -- can't beat that. Read more
- BostonTweetJuly 29, 2010One of my favorite breakfast spots for a huge Western Omelette, a colorful fruit cocktail, a perfect Eggs Benedict and a delicious serving of French toast on challah bread. Wow I'm full.
- Delicious food, fun staff. Be prepared to wait outside for a table (bonus for having heaters, though!) Broadway Blues breakfast was delicious (picture)!

- Tracie RobersonJuly 11, 2010The breakfast "Fit for a King or Queen" isn't as big as you'd think. I was scared to order it, but I was able to eat it all (except the toast) and not feel extra stuffed afterward. Yummy.
- Nadia RaeAugust 12, 2018they made me the best, biggest veggie omlette to my liking i’ve ever had. the one thing i didn’t like is the price . instead of charging me for a veggie omlette they did a byo and charged me $15
- Connor FergusonOctober 21, 2011Was a long time Sound Bites customer, but I decided to try Ball Square for the heck of it. The menu's basically identical, but I have to say, BSC just does it a little better. Get the Moroccan eggs.
- Clare LynchFebruary 16, 2015Super friendly service, ask for grilled muffin or grilled mashed potatoes
- I suggest always going for the fruit substitution on omelets. Healthier and tastes amazing!
- Almost always has lines on the weekends. Well worth the wait for the food, though.
- Get here early to avoid the guaranteed long lines later in the AM.!!!
- rhiannon leeApril 23, 2011avoid the line and get take-out! they are even nice enough to put the whip cream in a separate container.
- Say hi to the owner, Mike. Regulars get fist bumps and hugs.
- Essentially the same as SoundBites, but a much much nicer staff.
