Coffee House
A cappuccino is hot frothed milk added with 1 or 2 shots of espresso. A classic Italian-style cappuccino is 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk in a 5-6 oz. cup.
Frappe
Also referred to as a frappuccino, this drink is served cold. This consists of freshly brewed espresso, milk, sugar blended with ice. Additional flavorings are added for tastes.
Breve
Originated in Seattle, this drink is a latte made with frothed half-and-half instead of milk. It's texture is thicker and creamier than a normal latte.
Mocha
A mocha is a serving of espresso combined with intense cocoa and hot frothed milk. A white chocolate mocha is prepared the same fashion but substitutes white chocolate instead of milk or dark chocolate. Mochas are served both hot and cold and you usually have the option to add whipped cream on top.
Espresso
Espresso is a highly concentrated beverage made when hot water is forced under pressure through finely ground and tightly packed coffee. One shot equals about 1 1/4 ounces.
Latte
Shots of espresso are simply added to steamed milk.
Macchiato
This is simply espresso with a thin layer of foam dabbed on top.
Chai Latte
Chai is black tea mixed with spices and milk. The chai is mixed with steamed milk to make the chai latte. No espresso is included in the chai latte.
