- Sonia SMay 11, 2015Tons of space to work, study or read. Love the open kitchen. Try the most popular sandwich: Terrace, a delish combo of turkey, cheddar, avocado, garlic mayonnaise (YUM) & tomato on focaccia.
- Noah WeissMarch 8, 2016Massive back converted into a great coffee shop space to hang or work from. Tasty intelligentsia pour overs and chai lattes.
- Monique PeresFebruary 13, 2013Very nice and alternative café in Union Sq. This place used to b a bank, so u can actually go in and enjoy your coffee inside what used to be a safe and the tables r made from the bulletproof window.
- Travelhound12May 12There are so many drink selections at this café, it’ll blow your mind. I really love their tea selection and I usually order the LauRel sandwich. This a friendly neighborhood joint.
- Gio PanApril 15, 2017Excellent latte, fresh pastry and a lovely welcoming porch where you will manage to find a nice spot no matter how crowded. Great atmosphere!
- Carrie BevisJune 6, 2016Outdoor patio is lovely in good weather. Overall, great and interesting menu with plenty of seating options for any type of conversation.
- Sahil KathawalaJune 3, 2015Great espresso! A bit on the pricier-side, but this place has a great space, with lots of seating and natural light (but no wifi 😣)
- Kimberly BehlingFebruary 3, 2013Pretty expensive but they use fantastic bread. I love the open kitchen, and often sit at the counter and watch the food being made. Perfect spot to bring a book or computer.
- Food & WineApril 21, 2011Located in a converted bank, Bloc 11 makes good use of the space: The former vaults are now seating areas. The excellent lattes and espressos are pulled from the lime green La Marzocco machine.
- Martín CaballeroFebruary 17, 2019Indoor + outdoor seating aplenty. Good spot to people watch over a Vietnamese coffee
- Try the egg and ham breakfast sandwich on croissant instead of the standard bread, throw a bit of sriracha on there and you have one tasty way to wake up on a Saturday morning.
- Alice HuangJuly 6, 2015Really huge seating area inside and outside. Beautiful and serene! May be my new favorite coffee shop.
- Boston.comAugust 4, 2014Diesel Café in Davis Square has some new competition for the title of hippest coffee shop in Greater Boston. The challenger? You're standing in it. Read more
- Jag FirerwalkerDecember 27, 2018Very strong coffee, which kicks you right in the guts. You will be awake after that. WiFi is there as well for 3 hours free
- Steve MDecember 8, 2013Great vibe, friendly staff. Always busy but you'll still find a seat. Try the Vietnamese - it's life changing.
- Trevor HolmesJune 23, 2015I love Bloc's hot and iced coffee, but watch out for the avocados on the breakfast sandwich. Half the time, they are a little past their date.
- RafaelJuly 14, 2014Love their latte!! Perfectly steamed and not scolding hot like in some other places. Unfortunately no free wifi. My suggestion: get half hour with a purchase.
- Expensive but always worth it. Check out the vestige bank vault in the back. 🏦
- Youssof MalMay 13, 2016They use Intelligentsia Coffee beans, grab yourself a cup + a bag to go. Slather beet cream cheese on everything.
- All sandwiches pale in comparison to the Pallet... it's that divine fig jam. Also, the servers are notoriously spacey so double check your order before you leave.
- Chase MaxwellSeptember 1, 2011Just as good as Diesel, but with a different ambiance. If you are more in the mood to read in a quiet space with little disturbance, Bloc 11 is more meditative than its raucous counterpart.
- Jonathan BlairDecember 6, 2016Really wanted to love this place. The place looks cool, converted bank vault is awesome, but the espresso was very over extracted.
- This is the only place I go for coffee and breakfast in union square now. Their freshly squeezed Oj is so worth it.
- Rachel EdelmanJuly 6, 2013The best egg and cheese sandwiches! Try it on their rosemary bread (instead of a bagel).
- The coffee here is quite good, doesn't even needs sugar to enhance the flavor. Try one of their specialty drinks, or have an iced latte in the warmer months.
- If you're a Comcast customer, you can pick up the free XFinity wi-fi, and avoid Bloc11's silly pay to use wi-fi.
- Unlike sister cafe Diesel, Bloc 11 always has an open seat somewhere. Sadly, the Brazilian limeade (featuring condensed milk) is no longer on the menu.
- Daniel SerranoJune 23, 2011Very vool place. The atmosphear inside is great, with the old safes and the fireplace. Outside, refreshing.
- GracieNovember 3, 2013Amazing atmosphere and loved the converted bank vaults. I can sit here all day.
- CityRover MediaJanuary 5, 2011Enjoy a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk in the bright and welcoming front end of the café, where floor to ceiling windows allow for plentiful sunlight. Read more
- Kay RhodesJuly 28, 2013The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is surprisingly delicious on a honey wheat bagel.
- Two DegreesJune 17, 2011Two Degrees bars are sold here! Buy a delicious food bar and give a medically formulated food pack to a hungry child. Is Good. Does Good.
- Wes VangelNovember 5, 2012Expensive, no free wifi, but everything is really freakin' good! I'd be broke if I came here every day, but I will definitely be back
- Margot BloomsteinNovember 20, 2012Grab a Vietnamese coffee--like a Spanish Latte, if you're an Espresso Royale fan, but not quite so sweet.
- Chocolate chip scone and an El Diablo (Intelligentsia). Works for me.
- Curry tofu salad sandwich is very good. Bowls of soup are quite generous - perfect for sharing.
