Opened in 1999, the park is home to the Houston Astros. The ballpark is the first major sports facility to have a closed captioning board for the hearing impaired.
It was built not only as the home of the Dallas Stars & the Dallas Mavericks, but also for other entertainment. Special features include retractable seating and more than $3 million in public art.
In 2016, this stadium will host the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four. Broadcasts will alternate between Turner’s cable stations and CBS, as part of a $10.8 billion deal stretching over 14 years.
