Good food, beautiful views, situated right on the lake (Zurichsee). Service can be a bit slow when busy.
Authentic Brasilian Churrascaria restaurant. Good quality meat and value for money.
A bar at street level serving great tappas (try the tortilla and/or the meat balls - 2 of my favourites along with a glass of Rioja). Spanish speaking waiters.
Never thought I'd say it but this is a superb Vegetarian restaurant. Help yourself to freshly prepared food from the buffet. I hate buffets but again this is really good, fresh tasting. Pay by weight.
Perhaps not one for everyday but if you choose wisely then the price is affordable. I would really recommend this place. Small restaurant with great food.

Make sure it's a special occasion when you visit. Restaurant attached to Hotel Bar au Lac. Very attentive service, superb food and wine. Watch out for the price of the wine. Place to be seen.
Zurich seems to be full of places that have been converted. This used to be part of a brewery. They still brew the beer on site. Well stocked bar.
Very traditional restaurant built on reclaimed land next to the lake. Ask for a spot in the Chagall Room. The sliced veal Kronenhalle style with roesti is the best in town - try it.
Up and coming area of Zurich, the restaurant is in a glass box inside a converted ship building warehouse. Sophisticated food with a good atmosphere. A mixture of Swiss and Mediterranean cuisine.
Book well in advance - gets very busy. You'll experience a very different meal altogether. The restaurant is totally pitch black. Served skillfully by blind waiters/waitresses. Best enjoyed as a group
Converted peoples house now serving tasty food with a twist. Great decor, high ceilings with a good atmosphere.
An old mill converted in to a superb restaurant. You won't go wrong here for a special occasion.
Same owners as Chez Fritz, difficult to say which is better. I suggest you try both and decide yourself. Again, another great spot right on the lake.
Great food & atmosphere. Tasteful decor. Modern Swiss cuisine.Homemade breads etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky but with the help of the owner you should find a spot.
Good quick food, american fast food style done the Swiss way. The decor is as you would guess with a name like Movie.
As you enter you order @ the cash till, pick up your cutlery & find a spot to sit, then try and get a drink @ the bar while you wait for your food. Formica tables - like a student haunt. Has good Deli
If you want traditional food and you like your sausage this is the place to come, sausage by the metre. Sit in the old ammunitions factory alongside other guests on long long tables, lively, noisy.
This is a great little restaurant - make sure you book to get a table. Situated in the old town, this building was built in 1260.
French in feel, cross between restaurant and bistro. Good food, reasonable prices given the location.
Stunning building, superb views over the lake and Zurich. We ate in the Garden Restaurant which had a limited menu but superb food. Well worth the visit for a special occasion and you want to impress.
Not bad, easy to get to - last stop on the #3 Tram at Albisrieder. Run by an Australian - so Kangaroo steak on the menu. Really annoying website.
It was absolutely jam packed on both floors when I went. Good food, menu takes a bit of deciphering. I think one of the waitresses doubles up as a Belly Dancer - or was I just dreaming that?
Was very quiet. The decor is really cool/trendy and the food is good quality Italian. Staff are friendly and owner very chatty. Location a bit odd, feels like you’re part of the shopping centre.
Good quality with a themed menu - Pork, Seafood, Beef, ie, each course is based on the same meat. Overall thought it was good but a bit fancy in the way the food was prepared/served.
Excellent food and wine of course. To order the wine means you have to go down to the cellar and pick it yourself.
Looks a bit odd from the outside but I would highly recommend this place, great food, great wines and friendly staff. Lots of Italians dining there too.
Casual friendly place - mainly burgers/chicken piri piri with of course things like Gnu steaks (felt a bit like TGI Fridays South African style). Good quality and not too expensive.
Good Indian food, was the best in Zurich but under new management since Jan 2012. Still worth a visit, try the Black Lentil
Maybe not fine dining but the food and service was very good. American style with some English traditional dishes and good selection of beers.
Good alternative to Kings Kurry. Pakora's seemed to be warmed up rather than freshly cooked. Vindaloo was good.
Good food, variable service but will go back again. Great building/decor.
