- The Corcoran GroupApril 21, 2011A great place to take the kids. Free admission on the second and fourth full weekend of the month from 2-5pm. Eat beforehand and bring your kid a change of clothes.
- peter kafkaJanuary 7, 2013Free 2-5 2nd & 4th Sat of each month is a great deal but everyone knows about it. So a place that's pretty crowded on normal weekend gets very jammed then. Still can be worth it but be prepared.
- JasmynFebruary 7, 2014Free admission for Active Duty Military up to 6ppl with Active Duty ID. ID must be of a member or dependent. Best kids museum in Brooklyn! I love it better than LI Museum!
- Carolina RevillaApril 1, 2017Very different from other children's museums, my 3 year old loved it. Two floors with many things to do and you can check in your coat , even your stroller
- J CrowleyNovember 9, 2013Don't miss the pretend grocery store and pizzeria. But try not to drop your pizza on the floor while putting it in the oven. Doh!
- Pinchas MargolisAugust 11, 2017Great place to take the kids. Bring change of clothes for children under 5. There is a park right behind the museum with a playground and basketball courts. It's hard to find parking.
- Nelson BishopNovember 8, 2021Make sure you get there at 10AM also bring lunch or snacks for the kids. Their cafe is closed due to the pandemic. Fun for little kids.
- Live nearby? Become a member. Best investment you'll make. We love to hang out here when the weather is rainy, hot, or cold.
- Matt HantzDecember 30, 2012Born in 1899, they claim to be the first museum designed for kids. Don't leave without seeing Fantasia, the 25-foot, 400-pound Burmese python. (And they allow strollers, unlike most kids' museums.)
- Sofia VelazquezApril 10, 2015The place has great pizza parlor and grocery shops. But if u had less children around it would definitely be much better a lot of the fake foods were missing.this lady has to where more appropriate stu
- Tim ChenJune 30, 2019Not a huge place but plenty of fun for younger kids. Wish they kept everything running year round like the stream in the entry path to the downstairs section
- Education NationSeptember 23, 2011For an interactive way to engage your children, check out the museums schedule of events. There's always something new & fun to learn. Pack lunch and extra clothes; sometimes education can get messy!
- Fodor's TravelSeptember 9, 2015Feel free to bring strollers and heavy coats: the museum may be a long walk from the subway, but the coat check takes everything free of charge. Read more
- Chris ZAugust 30, 2014Great for kids. Nice blend of interactive and traditional exhibits. Don't miss all the animals in the basement!
- Una StadeNovember 30, 2016It keeps my kid entertained! I feel like some parts of the museum are not finished or aren't interactive enough (like the entire kid-store area where basically no kids want to play).
- Afi Yellow-DukeJune 23, 2015I grew up going here. It's a super cool place. If they still do their Friday performance series on the roof, go!

- Christina YinJuly 6, 2013Perhaps it was because it was a free weekend day, the museum was packed full of kids. Personally, I prefer LICM over brooklyn. The exhibits here are a mess, the staff here aren't too attentive.
- An amazing space for kids, as you can imagine. Do check out the enormous snake at the lower level of the museum.
- Always fun for the kids. Bring change of clothes for water play or sand play.
