The service was excellent & the food was delicious. We had the short ribs, crab & corn chowder & an oyster salad. Even our Old Fashion cocktail was good. We’ll def be back whenever we’re in the area.

The bar in the front is a great place for lunch alone or with a friend. You can't go wrong with soup and a salad, and they don't turn up their noses if you order tea or coffee.

The doughnut things with that yummy butter they bring with it were great. Underwhelmed by the eggs Benedict though. My homemade Hollandaise sauce is much better. I might go back to try other things.

The Bitches Say: D. Stick to Carlyle's dinner menu, skip the brunch, unless you’re going for baked goods and friendly people. The Bitches deemed Carlyle as the Worst Brunch Across the River in 2013!

Favorite place in Shirlington for both dinner and brunch. All seafood dishes are great, esp. crab cakes. You have to order the lobster bisque.

The patio setting was really nice along with the wait staff. No reservation option offered. They did offer a call ahead option with was kind of weird to me but it worked out.

The flour less chocolate waffle is wonderful! My favorite entrees are the Hong Kong Sea Bass and the Sesame Crusted Seared Rare Tuna Salad. Love the Warm goat cheese and spiced pecan salad too!
