- I grew up loving Carrabbas; Johnny has maintained a consistent, outstanding combination of great food, great service, comfortable atmosphere, and an above average wine list. A top 3 fave restaurant.
- Blair AllenAugust 22, 2018Yep, this is THE family that started the chain, except this is the original restaurant. All the food is kicked up a notch and genuine Italian. Highly recommend the Fried Calamari!
- Everything is good, but you can't beat a house salad, pasta Carrabba, death by chocolate and an excellent wine list. Service is always great but I usually sit at the bar, even with a date.
- Blair AllenAugust 19, 2018 Yep, this is THE family that started the chain, except this is the original restaurant. All the food is kicked up a notch and genuine Italian. Highly recommend the Fried Calamari!
- SerenaApril 21, 2013If you're going low budget order mamas chicken soup & house salad. Soup is inexpensive but amazing & their creamy salad dressing is unlike any other and you won't leave feeling guilty.
- Thet CruzJune 2, 2019The ribeye is good! Their grilled chicken is also very moist. They have large portions that one meal may be good for 2. Great Italian restaurant!
- Filet w/ Caymus Napa cab by the glass. Cooked perfect. Excellent service (Nadia) as usual.
- Rick HApril 25, 2015One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Independent of the regular Carrabbas chain, this is the original. Great date place.
- Great food and efficient and friendly waiters. Among those I would like to mention Matt who can go an extra mile to make your visit a pleasant experience.
- A couple of long time bartenders left, but it’s still a great place. Try the pork chops sometime.
- Augustine VAugust 16, 2016The OG location. Always ask what the special is and make sure you get the salad with their delicious house dressing
- Substituted veal for chicken parmigiana. Awesome. Adaptation 2018 Napa Cab. Always sit at the bar.
- Jeremiah ReaganMarch 16, 2012Great Food! Been going there since the only 2 Carrabba's were the 2 in Houston (Voss and Kirby) - every other Carrabba's is owned by Outback and doesn't shake a STICK at this restaurant...
- KittyJuly 2, 2017The desert is amazing, great service and the food is well cooked and delicious! Definitely should visit .
- The lasagna here is really incredible and there's not a better "house" salad anywhere. This is the original Carrabbas, since 1986.
- Darnell JonesJune 14The ambiance is pleasant and I thought that the house salad and Chicken, Bryan was excellent!
- Christy LandesNovember 3, 2014Good service, garage parking is a good alternative to valet. I like house salad and soup. Great herb dipping sauce for hot crusty bread.
- EdNovember 23, 2013The Stuffed Shrimp Mandola is really, really good. And the lentil soup and the calamari are strong choices for appetizer.
- Liss V.July 9, 2015Could cut the steak with a fork. Excellent wine list. Perfect dessert wine picked by the bartender.
- EdithOctober 23, 2014The Pollo Rosa Maria, Calamari, and Fettuccine Alfredo are all amazing! Best Carraba's!
- Allen ArcadeSeptember 25, 2010The lentil sausage soup is large enough for two. You'll want to split it with someone. Plenty of staff to take care of you while you wait for your friends or table.
- Katy IrvingDecember 22, 2010Try the lasagne with a side salad! It's delicious! Also, the spiced olive oil that they bring with the bread is amazing! Leave plenty of room, the portions are large!
- Jessica BOctober 15, 2011See, the food is great, but they don't serve gnocchi. It's like the italian must-have! Wine selection and desserts are to die for though.
- Mark BazinMarch 18, 2013Love this place. Great service and management. Get the Chicken Bryan Texas...you will be happy you did.
- Miriam RamirezMarch 31, 2013Impeccable service. Very pleasant experience for a busy Easter Sunday. Food well expedited and floor is an organized chaos. Two noms up.
- Dustin HaleyDecember 8, 2015Great place, typical upscale Italian place. Try the Bruschetta Scotty Thompson!
- Debra OliverAugust 28, 2014Crab stuffed Shrimp are so good! You can substitute the pasta for grilled veggies.
- Fashion LadderApril 15, 2013Veal, spendio de mare, eggplant. Everything. Is amazing. Renovation was perfection
- Jessica BOctober 25, 2011They won't see me here again for anything but their delicious desserts. How can an Italian restaurant not serve gnocchi!? That's like a French restaurant not serving French onion soup! Great wine.
- The fettuccini Alfredo is soooooooooo goooooood. Always crowded ask for George he is the best!!!
- Jan Erik JohanssonApril 14, 2013The bar had a couple of the best bartenders in the city. Ask for a Salty Dog

- Necole DrakeJune 14, 2013The Chicken Bryan is always delicious !!!! And with good company!! WINNING!!!
- For real entertainment, be here when Johnny Carrabba is in the kitchen.
- Biff BigelowFebruary 1, 2011Say the secret phrase " my what a big cannoli you have" for a free appetizer.
- CultureMap Houston ManagerMarch 20, 2012Avoid the back side alley unless you enjoy the sound of crashing dishes.
