AGED PUMPKIN ALE | Baltimore, MD, USA | Availability: Autumn | ABV: 10.0 % – This notable take on the pumpkin ale style is aged in bourbon barrels. Opens with roasted pumpkin flavor with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Hints of caramel, brown sugar, and light vanilla– along with some mild woody and doughy flavors. As the taste advances some mellow bourbon hits the tongue, along with the development of a pumpkin seed flavor. The booziness gets more pronounced toward the end, leaving you with a nice warming finish while a moderately sweet, heavily spiced pumpkin taste lingers. Mouthfeel is thicker and heavier, with medium-low carbonation. Makes for a nice slow sipper.
