Aromatic masala (indian spices) are added to our select shade-grown assam to make a full-favored and robust spiced chai (tea) . masala chai has been the indian drink of choice for hundreds of years. it is a perfect blend of freshly ground indian spices like cloves, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and black pepper.

Grown on the izu peninsula, not far from tokyo. matcha is grown only in japan, where local farmers cultivate it by traditional methods, from growing to grinding. several weeks prior to harvest in the spring, farmers cover the tea plants with bamboo mats or tarps, gradually reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the plants. this step increases the chlorophyll content and turns the leaves dark green, giving matcha its distinct green color.

Ancient emerald lily, organic fair trade green tea from the jingmai mangjing tea village. this green tea can only be made for a brief time twice a year during early spring and the beginning of winter. the flavor and aroma are well balanced and refreshing with notes of melon, wild flowers and toasted nuts.

Organic green tea blended with lemongrass, coconut and ginger. ginger makes it slightly spicy without overwhelming the smooth coconut flavor. both good hot or iced.

Young pu-erh, organic fair trade pu-erh tea this pu-erh has a much bolder aroma than our other pu-erh. musty with an earthy character described as old or elemental with an underlying hardiness that is appealing to coffee lovers. it is an acquired taste. the infusion is very complex dark and black.

Autumnal leaves pu-erh, organic fair trade pu-erh tea produced from the ancient, wild tea trees of the yunnan's jingmai mangjing high mountain tea village. this organic grade pu-erh exhibits a well balanced, smooth flavor that is rich and sweet in its finish, with notes of autumnal leaves.
