- Mollie GannonJune 20, 2016The service at the Belmond was over the top! They were very professional and eager to please. Rooftop bar at the pool is a fun spot to visit. Room was beautiful but walls are thin - very noisy!!
- Mary Anne Clarkson BarkleyMay 21, 2011*****Best Hotel in Charleston! *****The Spa offers a heated saline pool, sauna, private sun deck and Jaccuzi. Amenities are excellent: heavenly beds, linens. Ask for balcony room facing King Street. C

- Keith ConverseNovember 8, 2015The service here is fantastic. A room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard is a must.

- Vicki MazikMay 26, 2013Dog friendly hotel. Great location, service, pool & good size rooms. The only place to stay in Charleston.
- Nicest public restrooms in Charleston, even open late night!
- Reserve123.comSeptember 8, 2011Best place to stop for a restroom break when shopping on King or Meeting Street (always clean!). Hotel rooms are immaculate as well.
- Julie FowlerJune 13, 2013Great place in a great city. Home away from home for us. The service is always exceptional!
- Jodi BradleySeptember 18, 2011Beautiful hotel! Nicest people! Larry the concierge is the best! Chicken salad in the lobby bar is to die for!
- Nick MartinJune 28, 2013Best Hotel in the city. Reminds me of Pinehurst combined with the Breakers in Palm Beach.
- Ronit FrancoJune 9, 2013Prob the nicest hotel in the city rooms are tight though .. One of my fav spots ..
- DeepPocketsAugust 24, 2012This is by far one of the best hotels in the Nation! Visit the historic district of Charleston. You will be glad you did

- Travel + LeisureDecember 20, 2012From #TLSponChat: “@MikeLata: The spa at the Charleston Place hotel is where I sneak away for my mid afternoon ‘meetings.’’’
- Kate SchafferJanuary 14, 2015Good: updated room, location, pool. Bad: logistics- wrong room type, construction 3ft from room, cab to airport $20/pp & no card reader. All could have been communicated ahead of time, but wasn't.
- Chris HaakJuly 26, 2011Wired rather than wireless Internet access in the rooms, but it's the fastest I've ever seen anywhere.
- This is a really nice bathroom I give it 4 stars (but kinda small)
- Ari MagedoffMay 17, 2012Tough to come by a King room at this property. You would think you asked for a room of gold when you check-in.
- Steve BrooksOctober 8, 2012Better pay extra for king bed or you will get stuck with miniature twin beds. Rude guy checked me in.
- Erin CarriganJuly 29, 2015This was waiting for us in our room, so cute and great service, however had things stolen by the maids.
- Lana DaiAugust 19, 2012Overrated! Good service but hotel is way too big, looks very dated, could use some updating. Wouldn't expect someone selling jewelry in the lobby, kinda strange for an upscale hotel.
- Service is lacking compared to the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro which is also a Orient Express hotel. Lazy American attitude!
- Do not say you do not stay at the hotel. They will not let you in otherwise.
