Great place to visit if you’re in the area. There are trails available that are family friendly such as the hickory nut trail which ends the a waterfall. Be prepared to dish out $15 for the entrance.

If you've never gone to Chimney Rock, it's definitely worth the trip. Hike as many of the trails as you can, and don't forget about the cave -- really nice on those HOT summer days.

Worth the trip and the entrance fee. If you aren't into hiking, you can take an elevator almost all the way to the top!

The hiking is superb and so is the rock climbing. Instructors are on hand to teach you. Explore the waterfalls and try to find the one where they filmed "The Last of the Mohicans".

Elevator was down but was so worth 491 stairs. They also discounted the price because it was down.

Elevator to top is under construction. Because of this, they have extended season passes to be good through next year, so you are getting about 18 months of access for $25...a great deal!!
