- City PagesAugust 5, 2014A cute spot with community in mind, this place serves up pints of Surly Furious and Bender, as well as other organic and/or local beers-or order some fair trade wine, if that's the way you roll. Read more
- Florence WongJanuary 18, 2017Great place for working and chatting! Has fresh & healthy nibs, as well as refillable coffee. Vegan sweet potato hash: flavorful, light and refreshing.
- XAugust 19, 2012All beers on tap are local so you can't go wrong. Ask for a taste if you're unsure, as the friendly staff will give you some to try. Sadly, Wi-Fi gets shut off from 6-8pm. Wifi password: RiverbendFarm
- There’s so much I love about this place. Some of the best food in the Mpls! Unfortunately free wifi doesn’t mean free Internet; I can always join their network, but then rarely get through to the Web.
- City PagesFebruary 4, 2013Voted top interpretation of the chocolate chip cookie. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie is the perfect size, and always the right mix of crunchy-crispy outer edges and gooey-soft, chewy middle.
- City PagesJanuary 4, 2013One of the best post-holiday eats! Their motto is "don't compromise your values, or your tastebuds", which they definitely live up to and that's enough for them to make this list.
- Love the breakfast bagel with turkey sausage. Good wifi, but maybe not the best place to sit and work for hours.
- Florence WongJuly 9, 2016I really like the atmosphere! Good for working. I got the tofu scramble, which was good, but the portion could have been larger / more filling.
- Pumpkin soup? How does this soup hold its shape in the bowl and still feel so silky smooth on my tongue? Another reason to stop at CR and why Fall is my favorite season.
- If visiting for breakfast (or want a snack), try the bagel of egg and cheese with bison meat. C'est delizioso!
- Shanita JohnMarch 23, 2012The Stuffed Chicken is by far the best thing I've had here which says a lot because it's all very good. But really--stuffed chicken--get it.
- Brad StrawApril 12, 2018One of my favorite breakfast places in the world. I travel over 2000 miles for the Shakshura.
- Happy-hour appetizers are $5 and change monthly. For July: Go with the goat cheese. Here's how good it is: I just dropped a piece on the floor, and I'm tempted to pick it up and eat it anyway.
- I guess they treat smoked salmon as sashimi grade fish imported from Another planet .... At $6.50 for a see through lox & bagel , for a merely hint of samon taste, it's a complete rip-off.
- City PagesFebruary 22, 2011Voted by City Pages in 2010 as having the Best Bagel in the Best of the Twin Cities Issue. We’re partial tothe nutty crunch of the sesame, but all aretasty.
- Super chill place for lunch or coffee! They even have a back room for larger groups.
- These arepas are the divine creation of Hestia, sister of Zeus. But who knows how they'll be come February. You better try them now.
- Always dog friendly on the deck and side patio. Deck is raised away from the street, perfect for dogs to view Lyndale safely.
- Eric SwansonFebruary 17, 2013If you can snag a pair of your grandpa's bifocals from 1983 to wear on your visit, you'll fit in much better. Good bagels.
- Try the onion bagel with sundried tomato and olive hummus....or garlic-dill-chive cream cheese with a slice of tomato and a little black pepper. To DIE for.
- French toast is not toast, but a very nice lemon poppy seed pound cake! A must try!!
- Alex AyoubOctober 11, 2011Get the Caramel Sea Salt latte! Superb flavor, enjoy with a fresh, in-house bagel with a variety of spreads!
- Camtron NinethousandSeptember 10, 2010Breakfast Nachos have returned to the menu for September! Also, Peace Coffee's Common Roots blend is my favorite cup of coffee in the cities -- delicious!
- Stevie C.July 20, 2013Sit outside on the back porch & watch the traffic on Lyndale while you enjoy a yummy wrap!
- Take a Leek! Baked with mushroom ragu, served with roasted onions, chevre & garnished with a chive blossom. OMG!

- s a b aAugust 1, 2011I had a lox bagel a few years ago that was the best I've ever had. And I live in NYC.
- Pretty much everything is amazing and the menu changes often. Bonus: there always seem to be super cute boys hanging out.
- Nice cafe with an emphasis on local foods. Usually haven a few vegan or vegetarian options.
- Tea, food, beer, customers, and most wonderful are the servers.
- Try the Wild Rice Burger. It's not always on the menu but when it is - it will blow your mind.
- The salted caramel iced latte is unbeatable, and the soft pretzels should not be missed. Yum!
- Take a moment to appreciate all the amazing people who work at and patronize this place. It's a big pile of goodness.
- Believe what you've heard... The Wild Rice Burger is the bees knees.
