DO NOT BARGAIN! Seriously guys. The stuff is so cheap as it is that dropping the price will make no change to your life. But $1 to a Cambodian is a BIG thing. Pay extra. It's worth it.
Built on a artificial island on the East Baray reservoir. Dedicated to Shiva, sister temple is Pre Rup to the south.
Take a look at the East Gate. Roots and rocks meld together but on a lesser scale compared to Ta Prohm.

Most people gravitate to Pub St and it's free WiFi, but one block off is an alley of wonderful restaurants. Well worth the extra few steps for wide selection of food.
Everyone goes to Angkor Wat for sunrise, 90% of the people will go back into town for breakfast. Pack breakfast & enjoy the temples when they are deserted and cold.

Bayon temple of Angkor Thom, enjoy the enigmatic towers surmounted by faces. Their smile is mystic as is the whole place

Total ripoff! Every group gets his own boat for 20$ p/P + getting there with the Tuk Tuk. They let you off in the village where you have to pay another 5$ p/P. In the end the whole trip costed us 40$
