- The flavors here are always so astounding: fresh, bread!, many influences, and leaving you with the feeling of being happy to be alive. Easily one of my top three places to eat in the SF Bay Area.
- Jo DeJune 25, 2016Must have latte! Favs: smoked salmon with home made cream cheese (wow!) and corned beef hash with eggs. Would definitely come back.
- BommyMarch 10, 2019Weekend brunch gets packed so prepare to wait. Breakfast sandwich comes with really tasty smashed potatoes. Cinnamon toast is huge(!) but very oily.
- Don BowersOctober 14, 2018Special dinner nights serving a large menu with beautiful dishes. I recommend everything
- Brian DeWittAugust 30, 2014The honey lavender latte is amazing. Just the right amount of sweetness, calm and coffee.
- Pretty much everything is good. Get there early on the weekends for brunch so you don't have to deal with crowds.
- The breads are fantastically old school, a bakers breakfast sando & espresso or their unique blueberry muffins make a great start, and you gotta try a crispy chocolate chip cookie.
- Harrison NhanAugust 2, 2013This is not the place if you don't like to be close to your neighbors! :) Couple of the tables are similar to big picnic tables which are share with others. Food is good. Friendly staff.
- Don BowersApril 10, 2018Prices are Exhorbanant. Place is PACKED so it must be good. If u know the old Della u wont recognize it now
- JonesSeptember 7, 2021Lots of character in this cafe/bakery. Tried four different pastries and two breads. The breads were ok, but pastries were good: fruit gallete, fruit tart, ham pastry.
- Michael TruncaleJune 19, 2011The food is excellent. I like the slow food movement, but my latte took forever to come out. My dream of a pastry and coffee turned into "pastry then coffee". Tip: wait to eat your pastry.
- Tammy GordonJune 20, 2013I know everyone says get the bread... But the panzanella salad was fantastic!
- Brian DeWittAugust 30, 2014The salted caramel macchiato is very sweet. Like a dessert. The sea salt helps cut it a bit but be prepared for your teeth to shed tears.
- Felicia MingsJanuary 12, 2013Delicious...but be ready to wait. Wait to be seated. Wait for a server. Wait for your order to be taken. Wait a longer time for your food... Even to go... It'll be a while. Don't if you're in a hurry.
- Norbert HuMay 21, 2011You know you hit the jackpot when everyone at the table stops talking upon food arrival and all you hear are mmm's and yum's. crab bennie, biscuit gravy...
- Brian YeungAugust 28, 2010The BLT was excellent and the homegrown heirloom tomatoes really stood out. Though they don't sell them individually, they comped me the most amazing bowl of tomato soup I've ever eaten.
- The latte's are killer (and huge). Love the egg salad on toast also. Salads are all very good as well.
- Luisa PedreschiOctober 27, 2013The croque madame is fantastic ! It's a big sandwich so come with appetite.
- Cassandra NickelJune 9, 2010Order their salads (all of them are fabulous and fresh). Their homebaked bread is delicious, I especially love their multi-grain.
- First on Bon Appetit's list of best bakeries in America. Everything is delicious, local, and organic.
- Jeff KooApril 29, 2012Nothing on the menu is vegan here ... But you can ask them to make Stacey's breakfast vegan. And ask for a side of fruit.
- Try the icebox cake — amazing update of a 50's recipe.
- margiNovember 4, 2009Table service now! Book reservations for a group. Still lovin the mocha and Half/Half! My fav place for w weekday breakfast work spot.
- The Friday night dinners are fantastic, especially the meatloaf.
- sit at the big community table - a great way to meet people!
- Alan BakerMarch 21, 2010Only one of the wait staff had a clue. Don't be in a hurry to get a menu or your check.
