- Love this place, I stay here every few weeks for work, it's comfortable and the food downstairs is excellent. Downside is that I have to commute to Santa Monica.
- Nihal SolomonFebruary 11, 2015Love the remodeling work they did especially in the lobby, bar, and pool. A hidden gem in MDR. Jason the bartender makes the best Bloody Mary! They have a happy hour as well.
- Abdullah Al-UthmanAugust 8, 2014This place is amazing. It has everything within a walking distance, the MdR, restaurants, Car rentals, laundries, supermarkets, bookstores, and even telecom companies. I love it.
- Bruce DennlerJune 21, 2016Go for the polenta even if you've not had polenta before. Trust! Share it with the person next to you just because. The person next to you will love and want you. Savory decadence. Get it! Trust!
- Michael CNovember 14, 2016Easy access to Venice, Marina del Rey, and Santa Monica. Can walk to a few places to get snacks etc.
- Marzi PecenMay 21, 2014Room service menu is not the standard fare, give it a try for delicious relaxed meal in your room. The burger was amazing & juicy with crisp fries.
- TeddyJuly 27, 2019Hotel MdR has two choices: update the interior of the rooms or change the name to Motel MdR. The choice is yours, MdR.
- Ask for the suite 200 it s the best room they have. Near the front desk, no parking view and best inner architecture!
- Priscilla @shescookinAugust 24, 2015Very stylish Doubletree. The rooms have been modernized and are pretty standard but the lobby, restaurant and pool areas are where this property stands out.
- IanMarch 12, 2015Nice hotel, the restaurant and pool are both very well decorated and have a nice open layout.
- Yuval ZukermanJune 15, 2018Spacious clean rooms. Friendly service. Get a room away from the elevators.
- Michael LummusMay 5, 2013There's a balcony on the rooms, but you have to climb out the window to use it.
- Johnnie SkywalkingJanuary 1, 2015ask for the room near the lift. otherwise, you have to walk all the hallway down every time.

- Cécile WeyerAugust 13, 2014+:excellent location and half of the staff is friendly... The other half is rude, the service at the restaurant is SLOW, the WIFI is free but it does not work and... We found a cuckroach in a drawer!
- Rich LinAugust 8, 2011Get breakfast at Panini Cafe next to Pavilions. Much better & cheaper than the breakfast buffet in the hotel.
- Joey PenickNovember 22, 2010B+ Hotel. Common spot for LAX flight crews. Good eating options near by as well. Some contruction in area though.
- Mark McFaddenAugust 17, 2011Currently undergoing substantial remodeling. In August an expansion and upgrade to the fitness center.
- Get your morning coffee downstairs before the staff puts it away at 11:00 AM.
- Ongoing renovation to lobby. Not sure when it will all be complete.
- They have a bar, but well drinks are $8.00 and it closes at 10:00p. Rating: better than nothing.
