- Daylina MillerMay 13, 2013Wifi is now free in the rooms and it was faster than expected. Stayed here several times and customer service always phenomenal. Cheaper than hotels on property but right across the street from parks.Upvoted 4 days ago
- 1.) Make sure your room key is activated for the parking gates. 2.) Make sure your room is the view and bedding-type you requested, when reserved. 3.) Starbucks, off the main lobby, closes early.Upvoted Oct 23
- The room was clean, you get free cookies, and there is free wifi & a Starbucks in the lobby. On top of that, it's right across from Universal Studios. The only negative is the $12/day parking charge.Upvoted 1 day ago
- Zachary AmbroseMarch 7, 2013Rooms are a little musky, no fans in the bathrooms either. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, wifii was free, and overall a great value. Be warned: $12 parking per dayUpvoted Oct 6
- Great location. Very close to universal and TGI Friday’s if you want to eat, there is also a Walgreens near by. There is a fee of $23 per night for parking, should be cheaper if you are pass holder
- Front Deskman Bob Rocks! 15 something minute walk to city walk. Ale house & starbucks by the hotel Hotel parking is not free sadly you can park in best western beside the doubletree.
- Twanda Carney DavisJuly 20I cannot say enough good things about my stay. Bell hop, front desk valet. This was one delightful stay
- Awesome, warm cookies at check-in! We even received a call to our room to make sure everything was to our liking here! Impressive service!
- Catherine HernandezOctober 15, 2018I stay here because it’s in walking distance of the park, and I don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to stay on the property. However every time I stay here, there is always a discrepancy.
- Catherine HernandezDecember 5, 2017Within walking distance of Universal. Good location for other attractions around the area.
- Dwayne FowlerJuly 9, 2015Good location. Quiet hotel close to universal studios. 10 min walk to city street. Hotel is starting to show its age and needs a refresh.
- Sarah OMarch 27, 2014If you are a AAA member, book your room online through hotel website. Big discount. Within walking distance of restaurants and Starbucks in lobby.
- Will TNovember 21, 2013Free Internet, Walk to Universal Studios, Starbucks - Current offer available: 2X HHonors Points.
- Yo DAugust 7, 2012Universal easy 10 min walk if u miss free shuttle. $5 for taxi. Yummy cookies. Wifi lil pricey. Signal wonky per my phone. Lol. Nice rooms.
- Andrea LevyMay 15, 2013We had a great stay here. Very clean but slow wifi. Convenient to Universal (walking distance), International Drive, & outlets. .
- Dan JMarch 3, 2012View over Universal Studios is nice... can see Hogwarts Castle at sunset. But the foreground is the Universal parking structure. Just have realistic expectations.
- Jami B.September 28, 2011The walk to Universal, Islands of Adventure and City Walk is much shorter if you cut through the parking ramp by the City Walk exit!
- Robin BoekenfeldNovember 22, 2014Walk to Universal. It's only a 10 minute walk to Universal. The bus stops at at least three hotels.
- This DoubleTree is one of Universal Orlando's Partner Hotels within walking distance to the parks. Learn more at OrlandoInformer.com by clicking the "more info" link. Read more
- Robin BoekenfeldNovember 22, 2014Buy your tickets to Universal at the hotel. It's cheaper than at the entrance.
- Pros - very close to universal/city walk. Nice views outside Windows. Cons - 17 dollar parking with broken parking gates. Funky old towel smell in room.
- Cliff KirkMarch 22, 2015Hotel has a great location, but parking is a pain. Don't pay $20 to valet. No lounge for elite members. Internet is so slow, unless you pay $10 a day. Starbucks is always closed. Breakfast was good.
- Make sure you check with hotel first before booking on priceline! You might not get the room you paid for. But manager Andrew Gumula made it right :)))
- Dan JMarch 3, 2012Easy 15 minute walk to the parks. Or a $5 cab ride. Or a free (but scheduled) shuttle.
- Every time the elevator reaches a floor, it makes farting noises
- This popular hotel right outside of Universal is getting a bit run down. Needs a renovation.
- Diana JahnOctober 10, 2013Good: Cookies & can walk to Universal. Bad:$9 to park/day and parking gates did not work at ALL, room keys didn't work 1/2 the time, nothing stayed in outlets, A/C sucked, room service took forever
- Joseph CastnerFebruary 15, 2013BEWARE! !!!! $9.000 A DAY!!! Just to park! And that is for the hotel guests!
- Joseph CastnerFebruary 15, 2013BEWARE!!!! $9.00 A DAY!! Just to park. And that is for the hotel guests! !
- Karen MoyJanuary 12, 2015Buyers beware!!! Worst customer service here! Concierge is uninformative and unhelpful. They slapped us with hidden charges at the end of our stay - then blamed it on hotel.com!
- Christina BenjaminOctober 17, 2011Not sure if this is the one right across from Universal, but I love staying at the one.
