Be prepared for *very long walks* (no shuttle) between gates. Even connecting Emirates flights can take up 10mins at near running speed (>20 for elderly with luggage). Also remember that when leaving

Terminal 3 is too narrow at the duty free to navigate or to get to a gate quickly....... I think they were to interested in getting to to spend money than make it practical...

Shopping is all very much Tourist focused here, if you want to shop you are going to have to go out of the Airport. The Emirates First Class Lounge is nice.

AirPort optimized for Emirates at gate 3, no comparison: self checking including 1 checked luggage is ultra neat, T3 spacious, less queue at customs, fast security... TOP experience.

Don't take liquids into "gate open" procedure. Their is a weird security check after showing your ticket and they take away liquids you bought in the mall. After that the real gate is full :(
