Rather laid back cafe with excellent coffee and food. An ideal place to hang out or get some work done.

The filter coffee is uniformly excellent here. Coffee with milk is a bit of a wash. If things are hectic here, they are usually more bearable at the smaller Koppenplatz branch.

Authentic Italian place which means there are five old men standing around agitatedly talking in Italian. It's all in good humour. The pizza is one of the better of Schöneberg.
Another good coffee addition to Kreuzberg with this Bonanza pedigree hole in the wall (literally) coffee shop. Nice baristas and solid flat whites to drink by the waterside.
Some of the best börek and turkish tea around. Also: they open at six which may be considered a rarity in Berlin.
Go here and let the guys take care of you. Best selection of BBQ in the city. Bring a big appetite because the portions are massive.
Don't get the falafel here, there's better around. The shawarma however is best of breed.
Tadim is central and bakes their lahmacun and dürüm fresh to order, which really is the only way to eat those in Berlin. Their Pide is excellent too, but takes some long ten minutes.
The place to go for your San Francisco Mexican food craving in this part of Berlin. I like almost all of their food, but I'm a taco guy. The wall painting of the Mission brings back a lot of memories.
