Brewed in the style of a traditional british esb (extra special bitter) , we’ve been making esb continuously since 1987, and it’s now the benchmark for the amber beer category. Despite having “bitter” in its name, redhook esb is really not that bitter at all. This brew is all about the balance of caramel malt sweetness completed by spicy, citrusy hops
Pilsner
Czech out redhook’s newest brew. Redhook pilsner is crisp, golden lager that is modeled after those historic beers originally made in plzeň, czechoslovakia. Redhook pilsner’s maltiness is offset by a medium dose of saaz hops and finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. A great “session” lager for when you’ve got a long day ahead of drinking.
Copper Hook
Who needs precious metals, when you’ve got copper?! This copper colored ale is a real crowd-pleaser. Copperhook strikes the perfect balance of smooth, rich, malty flavor you’d expect from a craft brew with a lighter body and hop profile that makes it a perfect “session” beer when you’ve got a long day ahead of knocking back a few with your buddies
Long Hammer IPA
The generous addition of hops both during and at the end of the fermentation process (dry-hopping) gives our india pale ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavor. The medium body, crisp finish, and moderate alcohol and ibu levels makes this one of america’s most drinkable and best-selling ipas.
Winter Hook
Regardless of whether you spend your winter months on the slopes, shoveling your driveway or just hiding out, redhook winterhook is a great way to chase off the winter chill. This year will be our 27thconsecutive release of winterhook. The recipe changes slightly every winter because nobody likes getting the exact same holiday present year after year. Redhook’s 27th brew of winterhook has roasted chocolate notes that smooth out the quick, spicy hop finish. The rich body and nutty, malty backbone make this winter ale slighty naughty and very nice.
Blueline Series
Redhook, the official craft beer sponsor of the seattle sounders, knew from the moment he heard the emerald city supporters chant “we came to drink” that he was in good company. Responding to their call, redhook teamed up with the loudest and proudest of seattle sounders fans to express their mutual adoration of sport, beer and the emerald city. Available in 22-ounce bottles and on tap throughout the pacific northwest beginning march 2nd, no equal amber lager is a sessionable beer brewed specifically for seattle sounders fans. No equal amber lager is a well-balanced beer with the perfect combination of rich malts and hop bitterness. The beer’s color comes from the generous use of munich and caramel malt, while its medium bitterness comes from the addition of noble hops.
Brewery Backyard Series
To pay tribute to the american revolutionaries who started the home brewing tradition in the united states, redhook and the american independence museum have joined forces to brew american independence ale, a true american style pale ale and redhook’s fourth brewery backyard series release. In the days preceding the american revolution, colonists were fed up with overtaxed ales imported from england. In response, they raised their middle fingers high to english ales and began brewing their own beer. Based on a historic beer recipe using local ingredients and modern techniques, american independence ale was brewed in commemoration of the colonialists’ defiance. The redhook brewing team drew inspiration for the beer from the nearby folsom tavern in exeter, a tavern, now part of the american independence museum, where many new hampshire patriots would gather for a beer in the days leading up to the american revolution. American independence ale is a crisp, refreshing american style pale ale made using locally grown and malted barley and hops. New england’s warthog wheat gives the beer body and a dense head that holds the citrus and floral aromas from simcoe, zeus and brewery-grown nugget hops. The medium-bodied pale ale is golden in color and the combination of the hops, wheat and two-row malts gives the beer citrus, pine, floral notes and a dry finish.
Wit
Redhook’s twist on the belgian style is the addition of fresh ginger, which adds a refreshing snappiness to this lighter-bodied wheat beer. Redhook wit is perfect for warm summer months of outdoor BBQ-ing, sitting by the pool, or just taking a break by hanging inside enjoying the ac and watching old re-runs of gilligan’s island.
Nut Brown
Ah, spring…the season that keeps us guessing. Will it rain, or will the sun be out? Do i take advantage of the last days of skiing, or the first days of hiking? Do i put on jeans, or dare break out the shorts? The season comes with enough uncertainty, so redhook gives you something you can always count on…our nut brown ale. This medium dark beer is layered with rich malty aromas and flavors of chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of vanilla. Although it may be dark in color, it’s refreshingly smooth and highly sessionable. Nut brown is the perfect beer for spring.
