Don't overlook this museum! The Japanese Rinpa screens, Chinese bronzes, Islamic ceramics and Indian statuettes are breathtaking. You can come for The Peacock Room but the Asian art is well worth it.

Focused on breadth more than depth, given its size, the Chinese & Japanese collections are nonetheless solid. Check out the Peacock Room on the appointed Thursday when they open the shutters.

Breathtaking. The displays are awesome. Never enough time to give each piece the viewing it deserved. The Peacock Room alone is mesmerizing.

I loved the buddhist exhibition. This is a smaller museum, but rich in asian art.

Not sure what's better about the Freer, the great collection of Asian art or the fact that tourists seemingly like to avoid it.

Love it because it's never super packed with tourists. The courtyard is pretty gorgeous as well. One of my favorite museums
