- marty boyzuckJuly 30, 2017Beer flight to figure out which seasonal or local brew u like (2 pints worth of beer for less than $7) then grab a 32 or 64 ounce growler to go to enjoy at home (also for a ridiculously low price.)
- Katie WindJuly 4, 2014If you have to drive through western Kansas this is a good spot to stop. Food was good & quick, the service was fantastic & it doesn't hurt that they have some great, GABF award winning beers.
- Glenn LoganMay 29, 2012Hays is my hometown and I usually visit Gella's at least once if not more times on each trip home. I always travel with empty growlers to fill while I'm there. Lemon Ale is an excellent summer pick!
- BoB DarnellJuly 16, 2021Oatmeal stout is excellent. Also had German here and brownell brown all good. Big food menu are food was great. Large portion of “cat fish” fish and chips and very good.
- Billy BennightOctober 17, 2013The filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes with compound butter was a delicious surprise. The 22oz. Blackjack dark IPA very tasty. The young lady was a bit nervous but the food held up.
- Lisa GravelleAugust 20, 2013This has to be the best restaurant in Hays - a bit off the beaten path if you are just passing through but well worth it. Get a cup of the sauerkraut soup to start of the meal. Delish!
- Chad StoeckleinOctober 11, 2016Oatmeal stout is wonderful. Wife got the filet mignon and loved it, I got the chicken fried chicken and it's hands down the best i have ever tasted!
- Carm PJuly 22, 2012Definitely get the grebble...the pesto dip is fantastic!!! Beer wise..big fan of the raspberry wheat and oatmeal stout, of course. Lemon Ale was solid in it's own right as a unique tasting ale.
- Phil McDiarmidAugust 17, 2012Everyone who said the chicken fried steak was good are all geniuses. This place is the best. The grebble and chicken fried steak are spot on. Get the Lemon ale too, if it's available. A++++

- Jared SmithSeptember 28, 2012To taste costs nothing so go ahead and ask to try everyone on tap until you find the one you want. Grab a "Big Slice" of their American I.P.A. if it's in season or even try their Liberty Stout.
- Kirsten FordApril 6, 2014I always try to stop at Gella's when I am in Hays - love the atmosphere and the food! I recommend the spinach dip and the salmon burger.
- Leia WilhelmMay 11, 2014This is a pleasant surprise in the middle of Kansas. They actually have vegetarian options other than salads and the beer is decent. Melissa is cute as a button!
- Cindy PtacekOctober 28, 2012If it's cold outside, get the pot roast! So delicious. They recommended pairing with downtown brown, which I did. Great food, great brews, great atmosphere.
- Annie WentzelJanuary 13, 2014awesome place! great pesto pasta and add creamed corn as your side.. worth it!!!
- Beer is great, food is good, service is hit or miss. Sometimes service is attentive and great, other times, you will wait 15 min for even water... Then walk out without water (or any acknowledgement).
- Jason LeibSeptember 25, 2013Schnitzelwich was excellent. Thick but still very juicy pork, not pounded flat like most places. Oatmeal Stout is great too!
- Chris BlastingOctober 3, 2015The beer and food here are all outstanding! House made chips with the bacon horseradish dip is amazing

- Leesa GabelNovember 27, 2013Swap a side for the French fried green beans. The beans are fresh, crisp with just the right amount of garlic.
- Kirstin KJanuary 7, 2015Great spot, great remodel of an older building. Happy we picked this as a lunch spot on our cross country trip.
- Regardless of the weekday, get today's special. The Chef is amazing, and the staff is the friendliest. Cost is most affordable too. Gella's? What a Midwestern gem!
- Gareld ButlerMarch 2, 2020Everything on the menu looks good. Lots of unique dishes. Lots of craft beer choices.
- Michael COctober 15, 2013Shoot for the local and German specialties... and the beer of course. Ask about their 2013 GABF Awards! Congratulations!

- Joseph DamourJuly 9, 2011Serious not going to lie.. The turkey panini is EPIC! Get it with the Lemon Ale and horseradish dip. Yum best I've ever had.
- Drink the oatmeal stout already. It's flavorful and smooth and it makes Guinness look like cheap Coors.
- Kent JohnsonSeptember 9, 2015Sausage is excellent. The restaurant is poorly ventilated, however, which made it hard to enjoy above the grease smell.
