On the 14th of May 1948, David Ben Gurion, the first Prime Minister, announced Israel's Declaration of Independence. The hall where it was declared, has been preserved and is open to the public.
The Flea Market is the next trendy place, with lots of new bars, good simple restaurants and new local designers stores.
The Tachana is the oldest train station in Israel, where you could catch a train from Jaffa to Jerusalem. It's now renovated, and has chic designer stores, trendy bars and good restaurants.
Neve Tzedek is the oldest neighborhood of Tel Aviv, outside of Jaffa. It's full of nice boutiques, trendiest cafés, art galleries and good restaurants.

Manta Ray is a beachside seafood restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean sea, with good food and amazing views. After eating, why not head to the Etzel Museum just down the road for some history?

This is the place for the beautiful of Tel Aviv. However, once you get over it, the food, deserts, coffees and service is good and the prices are not as high as you would expect. Definitely worth it.

Great selection of beer, nice small place place to stop and sit during a walk of the city or market visit. Fat Cat IPA on tap was deliciously bitter. Friendly service, you can also get takeaway beer.
A must visit! This shook has it all - Halva, Turkish Delight, Fresh Pita, Borekas, spices - you name it, it's there. Take your time and wander the stalls taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells.

Amongst the best frozen yogurt I've had. They have the most interesting (read unhealthy) toppings including halwa, hazelnut cream, dates and what not. Very Israeli. Loveee it!
