    Spend plentu of time on the 8th floor asking questions of the volunteer. Ours was a retired conductor. Great stories!

    Ask at the ticket counter if Charles is up on the observatory deck. He's a retired conductor and worked for UP for years. So much knowledge about the train yards and trains themselves.

    The actual Golden Spike connecting East & West was driven about 600 miles to the West at Promontory Point, UT.
