It's all about a slice of their Mille Crepe; the fruit was fresh including the melon which was my biggest test. Tasted fresh and as close as you'd get to tasting the same in Japan. Pricey but worth it

HARBS sits as the cake king in NYC; the Japanese import boasts stellar and not-too-sweet offerings like its mille crepe cake and a strawberry chocolate cake with all ingredients at peak freshness.

Delicious mille crepe that was made with fresh fruit and very nice staff. The most expensive cake I've ever eaten!

Very expensive but worth it once in a while. Mille Crepes is their signature cake. I think all of their cakes are mouthwateringly delicious. Most importantly, nothing is overly sweet.

Harbs is from Japan so naturally their cakes are a little lighter than Western cakes. The cakes tastes good but expensive - $11 for one slice. Tables at the back are good for chatting and working.

Exciting new Japanese cake shop. Mille crepes and chocolate custard cake were wonderfully light and only slightly sweet. Inventive combinations, fresh ingredients and prepared with care.

The decor of this location is quintessential New York. I paired the strawberry with a pot of earl grey, and the combination made me feel like Blair Waldorf.

A little pricey but really great service. Not a fan of their famous fruit layer cake because of the melons but will be back for the others.

Mille Crepes $10 per slice is worth of trying! It is enough to share it with two to three people.

Their desserts are okay, but I like the atmosphere and service. Very well lit, spacious and cozy. Free coffee/tea refills are a plus.

Desert nicely presented. Short like Lady M. Good selection of tea. Quiet Japanese-style sitting area.

All the cakes look so delicious! The genmai matcha is misleading though, it's just regular genmaicha with whole leaves not ground

NYT: "There are no tables, but a doorway leads to pleasant dining areas, where a cloudlike slice of cake can be yours, along with sandwiches served on thick square slices of Japanese white bread."

The cakes are similar to Lady M except they were less sweet then most Asian chain bakery shops. This place would be great for people who can't eay too much sugar. Pear millefilu is better than fruit.

The cakes here are delicious! The sandwiches are ok, as portions are mostly bread. Cozy and refined atmosphere.

Con: Every customer has to order one item. Yet, even after ordering 4 items between 3 of us, they refused to provide an extra cup to share a pot of tea. Seriously weird service policies for the price!
