Chardonnay
2011 Chardonnay, "Glacier Ridge"
Aromatically, our 2011 “glacier ridge” chardonnay is driven by bright citrus and peach with underlying hints of mango and vanilla. The entrance of the flavor profile is dominated by genuine pineapple and citrus supported with zesty mid-palate acidity. The 2011 “glacier ridge” boasts a lemon cream and guava fruit driven finish. Our lovely chardonnay desires the company of food. Pairing “glacier ridge” with manchego or soft ripened cheeses such as brie or chevre is delightful. In addition, the flavors of “glacier ridge” harmonize wonderfully with cream based pasta sauce, lightly cooked fish and barbecued chicken.

Our winemaker is extremely passionate about spanish wines. Thus, “chileano” was born. Our vision with “chileano” was to create a tempranillo stylistically similar to the great wines of the ribera del duero in central spain. Our tempranillo is driven by ripe cherry aromas with hints of mocha and strawberry. The 2010 "pico creek" merlot is the poster child for balance. Garnet in color with astounding clarity and medium intensity, "pico creek" showcases classic merlot aromas of cherry, plum, raspberry, cigar box, black pepper, with a nice inclusion of french oak. The front end of the flavor profile brings pleasing cherry flavors transitioning to a blackberry driven mid palate with incredible acidity and structure, which sets the stage for the finish line. Our 2010 "pico creek" merlot has a lovely finish driven by raspberry, spice, tea, forest floor, and long velvety tannin. As usual, our merlot beckons to be prepared with your favorite foods. This vintage in particular pairs wonderfully with ribeye grilled over an open flame served with rosemary fingerling potatoes.
