This is a fun neighborhood for everyone, with gay pride everyday! Try 9th Avenue for all types of restaurants, lots of bar/dance club options for late night, and quiet tree-lined streets for a walk.

If you’re crossing East bound on 42 street and 9th ave during rush hour, chances are the two cross guards will deny the turn causing you to turn east on 40 street nightmare!!

Chelsea has been dethroned as the queen of gay New York by this neighborhood north of 42nd Street and west of 8th Avenue. Guppies, yuppies, tourists and the occasional freaks populate this nabe.

Noise, constant/daily patrol of pedestrians, sirens & mostly polite panhandlers, not to mention irate drivers honking horns during rush hour. It is what it is, NYC...much to do, see & eat.. I love it!

The best neighborhood in the city after living in Chelsea for years... Live on the river at 42nd street - the attached pic is from our rooftop clubhouse

Tipsters mustn't live here or get the 'hood, borders, vibe & peeps. The train yards N to 42nd is still gritty as it is west of 9th. BridgeTunnel+tourists keep near the safe 9th ave catwalk. It's HK.

Get your fruits and veggies at Stiles Farmers' Market on 52nd bw 8 & 9. Prices are way lower than at local supermarkets. Remember they close at 6:30 pm M to F.

Lots of little gems hidden in this neighborhood. Food, wine, pubs & clubs. But also parks, gardens, the coolest flea market and more!

This is a quick walk from the Marriott Marquis. It's a great way to get some fresh air and take a break from the fried fare of Times' Square.

Welcome to my hood, the lengendary Hell Kitchen. Great spots to eat, dance, lounges, near everything, Broadway. The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, the only Latino Off-Broadway Theatre.

Some claim the name came because it was a tough neighborhood. While it was working class, it was always fairly stable-despite the brief Westies era. Long closed brick kilns gave it the name.

The late US Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan always talked about how he was from Hell's Kitchen. Fact: he only rented a small apartment for one semester while studying for a Phd at Columbia.
