I found this place in a travel guide and skipped a hotel breakfast for one here - it was a great decision. I didn't order a cake for coffee - another goid decision: breakfasts are plentiful. Loved it!
A large beach with good sand and plenty of cafes. Water can be cold and deep. Right in the middle of the beach one can join a nudist crowd; further down - a gay stretch which is unlikely to be busy.
Good selection of sets to enjoy pastel da nata and more - coffee, port wine and sandwiches. Staff speak English and are friendly and attentive.
Good for fado: great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and food. Advanced booking is recommended, but spare places may be unavailable - just wait for a break in singing and ask helful staff.
A small menu of fresh Portuguese fish and meat dishes coming with a mixed salad. Great value house wine, beer available too. For desert, fresh fruit can be ordered. A simple, good neighbourhood cafe.
Inexpensive day special meals, sandwiches (perfect for taking away for a park and castle trip), coffee and patisserie. Great friendly staff.
Consistently good cocktails and more. It makes sense to ask staff for suggestions of what is the best they they could offer... they'll surprise you. Sadly, people smoke inside.
G&T is fantastic, quiet music and pleasently decorated space. Toilets received proper attention too - well done!
