- Renee KoppelmansNovember 4, 2014Manila clams are the best! Go during happy hour which is sometime between 4 pm and 6 pm and get some good deals on the food! The salmon burger is also pretty good
- Pia HochgernerOctober 14, 2013Tables at the window have an amazing viele and allow you to see the ferries coming in and leaving again. Fabulous crispy coconut shrimps. Love this place.
- Zoe ZitzkaNovember 14, 2016Ivars is one of my fav places... I love the outside and inside area... it can be very casual (outside) and more fancy (inside)
- Kelly ColeDecember 7, 2018The new happy hour is great. The stuffed mushrooms and salmon sandwich are delicious! Try the bourbon cocktail with Giffard's Apricot Liqueur. YUM!
- Paula YanagimotoApril 1, 2018The Maine scallops with bacon jam we’re outstanding!! The pecan bread pudding was also delicious!
- Scallops wrapped in bacon are an absolute "oh my goodness" must. The clam chowder is beyond solid & have a little fun with the Klondike Bar Martini or Hot Buttered Rum! The Bloody Mary is super spicy!
- Get the Taste of the Northwest. It doesn't disappoint and gives you a great sampling of several things.
- Very good prices on ice cream! And it tastes great. I suggest the swirled flavor:)
- Daniel VailJanuary 20, 2016Fish and Chipsssss. Also some dank ass corn bread. I also appreciate a nice sprite with crushed ice.
- Didn't know you could order things to go! Just go straight to the bar and ask for the bartender to give you a menu.
- teresa bartholAugust 25, 2011Happy Hour on the Deck overlooking the water and watching the Ferry come & go to Whidbey Island is a favorite way to spend a Sunny afternoon in the NW Read more
- Kim NowakowskiJuly 9, 2013Beautiful view on the water watching the ferries go by however you're better off hitting the takeout window and sitting at the park. The food isn't much different.
- The Seattle TimesJune 2, 2010The menu includes Ivar's standard repertoire of thick chowders, deep-fried fish and chips, clam strips, pan-fried oysters and seafood fettuccine. The kitchen scores highest with salmon. Read more
- Obviously the fish & chips. Avoid the sour dough rolls, their addicting...
- Love love love this place!!! Eddie (both Eddie's) make some fabulous drinkies :)
- I disagree with Jack, Erik is the bees knees!! He knows his shiznit!!!
- Plenty of time to catch a beer before the next ferry....they are quick with the check....
- Jack ReevesMay 12, 2012Hopefully you don't get Eric as your waiter. He's way over the top and will bother your table too often.
- Make sure to get a ice cream while waiting for the ferry.
- Tall Eddie is the bestest bartender in the west! Go cougs!
- Patrick ZeineMay 5, 2015service has really gone down hill expect to spend hours watching servers move in slow motion while they fail the bartenders are the worst now great location poorly managed
