Jesse Houwing: We always stock up on Italian products before driving back to The Netherlands. Huge selection of pastas, olive oil, balsamico, cheeses, cured meats, salami and an interesting selection of wine.
Jesse Houwing: Doesn't accept credit cards or other forms of electronic payments, luckily there is an ATM literally just around the corner to your right.
Jesse Houwing: It's not a surprise this city is on the Lonely Planet list of hidden gems. Visit a bar on the canals, eat a broodje Mario for lunch, drink a coffee at 30ml and climb the Dom tower.
Jesse Houwing: Enormous selection of travel books (also of Amsterdam and The Netherlands), science fiction and Fantasy. Plus a hidden corner with board, card and role playing games.
Jesse Houwing: Good starting point for hikes, good coffee and a place to picnic across the street, when you're travelling from Tuscany to the coast or am hungry after half a days walk.
Jesse Houwing: Lovely food, outdoor seating on the veranda overlooking the prosecco region. In autumn and winter there is a fireplace inside. Not cheap, but very good value for your money, definitely recommended!

Jesse Houwing: They sell two types of wines, docg and non-docg, the only difference is in the sticker, since taxes are owed for real docg wines. The actual wine is the same.
