J Kofler: Amazing! The oldest still funicular in the world moved by water counterbalancing that is still in operation. It takes a while to fill up the upper car with water, but the ride is worth the wait!

J Kofler: Portuguese food tapas style which means you get to taste a variety of food without having to limit yourself to only one choice. Great staff, felt warmly welcomed and everything was superb. Must go to!

Police Station · Centro Histórico · 1 tip
J Kofler: Sorry if you need the tourist police, as it means you probably got robbed or somebody picked your pockets. But the policemen and women there are very friendly and helpful and speak English well.
J Kofler: Comfortable atmosphere, great food, nice staff, quick service. We ended up staying a lot longer than intended enjoying the food and more drinks.
J Kofler: Read some excellent reviews about this restaurant and were not disappointed. The owner explains the whole menu to you, shows you the fish, meat and mushrooms that will be used for your meal.
J Kofler: On weekends some free parking in the public lot, otherwise also garage parking by the hotel available. Nicely situated just inside the old city wall. Convenient for exploring the old town.
J Kofler: Quite hidden, but definitely worth the visit. Not only sweet, but also salty pastry. Ovenfresh, and sometimes you can even wait for more flavours to come out of the oven. Delicious!
J Kofler: Teppanyaki restaurants seem to be new for Portugal, so there was only one type of sauce to go with the freshly prepared food. Otherwise great value for price, great variety of really fresh sushi.
Herdade da Mitra, Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, Évora, Évora
Historic and Protected Site · 3 tips and reviews
J Kofler: Quite the experience to get there (almost off-road driving), but definitely worth the detour. Fascinating remains, a pity that they seem to have tried fixing some parts with bricks, but still great.
J Kofler: This is a must-go-to place in Porto! The owner is very friendly, offers insights into where the dishes come from, how they are prepared (by his wife), delicious food and you just feel so welcome.
J Kofler: Comfortable garage also for bigger cars, fills up quickly on Friday/Saturday with shoppers, but very convenient as very central. Prices also ok, especially the fee for the whole day ticket is ok.
J Kofler: Great food and for the central location and superb view of the old town quite moderate prices. The entrance is rather hidden, with the kitchen right at the door, but seating area is upstairs.
J Kofler: Great steaks! If you don't eat meat, there's their signature potato pancake also in a vegetarian option. Also their side salads are quite big. Would recommend a reservation though.
