Great bar a very welcome addition to Edinburgh beer scene with an ever changing g variety of the best UK cask and craft beers. Great value bar snacks as well, the dogs are superb!
Fresh oysters, superb chargrilled scaloops, spicy Maroccan mussels. Everything is fresh and tasty also meringue and cream strawberry confusion.

Dressed brown crab starter really excellent. Also steak tartar my girlfriend said was the best she had eaten.
Hog roast is good but you can get this every day on Victoria St, try the buffalo farm BBQ instead for healthy & tasty buffalo burgers

What a beautiful, quiet, non-crowded castle (much better than Edinburgh Castle, in my opinion). Truly explore and discover all the nooks.
