Beautiful outdoor amphitheatre. Bring a cooler and a blanket. Great free spring and fall music acts that you'll find at other venues for charge. Located in Overton Park containing zoo, golf, trails

Summer Concert Series is the best free thing to do in Memphis. Grab a group of friends, a blanket and a cooler, you're golden. Bound to hear some incredible acts too - FO FREE!

Built in 1936, the Shell once hosted acts like Elvis and Big Star. After years of disrepair it reopened in 2008 with help from the Levitt Foundation and is once again a great place to see live music.

Bring a blanket, some nosh and a friend or two. A lightweight jacket or sweater wouldn't hurt as it tends to get cold in the fall. Excellent shows though.

All of the shows at the Levitt Shell are free and kid-friendly. Check the calendar for kid-focused day shows, too.
