- David GreenwoodMarch 29, 2012Once was the old Red River Opera a decade or so ago. Now's a great roadhouse to see smaller touring rock/metal/alt/etc. bands. Has big bar with fast servers and smoking patio. The acoustics are great!
- John SpataroFebruary 16, 2013Great spot to catch a concert because of the size. Not a bad seat in the house and the smaller atmosphere makes for some great shows. Sound is decent but don't miss your favorite act when they play.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Melissa PerezNovember 15, 2012I don't care what people have to say about this venue. I have had some memorable moments here with great bands including Matt & Kim The Neighbourhood, Passion Pit, and Band Of Horses.
- Edmund HubbardFebruary 16, 2013Get there early because then you can get up to the front. One time I got there early to see Pepper and the opening act was a punk band. The lead singer of the punk jumped from the stage to my arms!
- Drew PociaskFebruary 16, 2013Probably my favorite venue to see live performances at in Phoenix. It's small enough where you don't feel like you're an entire football field away from the stage.
- Ally WalkerNovember 18, 2013This venue was a hassle! If you go make sure you get there early to deal with a small parking lot and cash for parking! Just as any concert, it was pretty packed but very convenient by ASU campus.
- NatalieNovember 2, 2015Always a good concert venue. There is a parking garage across the street, I recommend parking there.
- Maile CanlasAugust 5, 2013The Venue, which is located south of the Mill Ave. District, invites smaller known bands and artists to perform, in a 1,000+ stand up only theatre. Fun place, and tickets are relatively cheap.
- Tremell GrayMarch 26, 2012Great venue and the space is magnificent inside. A lot of big names came to this place and for it to be very close to campus, it's convenient for many people to get there. Very diverse with events!
- Vianka VillaNovember 18, 2013Awesome place for a show. Try to avoid the front of the stage if you don't want to get hurt.
- Seen countless shows here over the past 12 years. The venue consistently gets great bands but also attracts rude and obnoxious crowds. Be prepared to stare at somebody's phone for half the night.
- Melissa BFebruary 15, 2013Closest Music Venue to ASU Tempe campus. Great musicians but parking lot is 5$. Tickets usually sell out pretty fast. Buy tickets before a show online.
- Johnny VolumeAugust 5, 2014Allow extra time to get in and pick up tix if you didn't in advance, take light rail whenever possible (Washington/center stop right next to venue).
- Christopher DeutschApril 16, 2013Get there early to park in the main lot, but not too early that you have to hang out way before the show cause there is NOTHING to do there before the show but drink expensive drinks.
- Zach BooherApril 14, 2011Venue of choice for many emerging artists and tours. Be sure to leave your key rings in the car or at home as they won't let you in with them. Too often people double them as "brass knuckles."
- Tori PacosMarch 29, 2012Awesome Venue!! Always has someone playing and is close to Mill Ave and ASU campus. Don't bring glow sticks if you go, they will take them.
- Kyle HilowNovember 11, 2010The Venue, which is located south of the Mill Ave. District, invites smaller known bands and artists to perform, in a 1,000+ stand up only theatre. Fun place, and tickets are relatively cheap.
- Katie-LeeNovember 18, 2013TSA-level security. They WILL take your pens and other unnecessary items. You can get close to the band, but the sound system is out of control and tends to blur.
- Brandon SmithFebruary 15, 2013Pick your tickets up before the show so your not waiting in line at will call and try to avoid driving by taking the lightrail!
- Mallory GNovember 13, 2013Small venue, standing room only, be prepared to either get drinks spilled on your or smacked in the face by a random shoe. Can't complain about ticket prices though!
- Jacob GoldsteinNovember 18, 2013This definitely is one of my favorite venues to see a show in Arizona.
- Most people who complain about this venue must not go to shows often. Security is tight because they have to be to keep this venue open. 5$ parking. Ride the light rail if you don't want to pay.
- Jarred SmithApril 14, 2011Great venue! Some pretty big names will come and play here. So close to ASU and Mill Ave. Did you know it used to be an actual theatre.
- Daniel RodriguezFebruary 11, 2013Best place in Tempe to see a concert! Purchase tickets ahead of time, often sells out quick
- Box office is open during the day on weekdays. ATM inside in the main lobby. No re-entry. Get a "candy andy" mixed drink at the bar next to the stage.
- Mike ClarkMarch 20, 2013If you have to do the will call line go early! The box office is open at Noon.
- Don't forget to bring your cash! Parking, as well as merchandise vendors will accept cash only.
- Kyle JNovember 23, 2019Honestly one of the worst concert venues in AZ. The sound setup is awful, security is clueless, they charge for parking (when there is even enough to use), and they do not care about their patrons.
- Decibel MagazineDecember 13, 2010On 02/04/2011 the Decibel Sponsored Creatures from the Black Abyss Tour stops here! Featuring Cradle of Filth, Nachtmystium, Turisas and Daniel Lioneye
- Ventrice SykesMarch 7, 2014Also they bumped it up it's $7 for parking now I'd just pay it for the convenience
- They serve pizza now, which is rad! No gum allowed inside anymore though
- Matt WaldnerNovember 23, 2014A bit pricey for average tickets, but it's close to campus and brings in some damn good bands.
- get a good spot, hold your ground and enjoy the show!
- Tom PittsDecember 5, 2010it gets hot as hell inside so dress accordingly, also park at the beach park and walk saving 5 bucks
- Pat down worse then TSA, they even make up get rid of your gum, small parking lot and hot & Sweaty.
- Alberto OlivasJuly 1, 2016AVOID shows at this venue! Advertised show times are a lie, no refunds, rude staff, no seats, no food except pizza, no re-entry, nothing to do nearby if you want to wait 2 hrs past advertised showtime
- michelle decclessisMarch 21, 2011best intimate concert venue, dashboard confessional is playing March 25
- Ricky GoltzOctober 11, 2011I don't like the fact that they take a color picture of my whole I.D. before I can drink. How do I know my information is secure?
- Don't upset the Security Staff or else you run the risk of losing your wristband which authorizes all of your alcoholic purchases inside.
- ASU's Tempe CampusOctober 6, 2011ASU students! Take the light rail to the Marquee Theatre on Oct. 8 to see New Found Glory live.
- Lauren .April 9, 2014Used to love this place, but they're all rude there now. Will call is impossible & they charge for parking. I try to avoid the Marquee as much as possible
