take aeroexpress train to Moscow city during day time to beat the traffic jams . and dont catch cabs at the airport , they will charge you at least 2x the price . pre order a cab before arrival . and
After passport control line there is great Irish pub in front of gate 47. Must visit - great fueling for a long haul :-)
It's impossible to find a place where you can charge your laptop. There is no outlets in the waiting areas.

The grocery store in the basement level is open 7 days a week and has a fabulous deli counter.
Get the train to downtown Amsterdam. It takes only 30 minutes. You can lock your stuff in a locker.
This airport has great stores and is definitely worth a connection for shopping purposes.
Find the BusShuttle that takes you for 8 euros to Termini and Piazza Cavour.
