Luna Vineyards

Our 2010 chardonnay has aromas of tropical fruit including pineapple and mango. on the palate notes of toasted brioche, pineapple, guava and exotic island spices dominate. a rich finish with a splash of lemon zest keeps the wine elevated and expansive for several minutes. this wine is a full bodied expression of Chardonnay's varietal character.

Our 2010 reserve sangiovese is the color of brandied cherries. The subtle aromas of white pepper and mocha fill the nose. On the palate, the flavors unfold with black cherries, raspberries, red currants, and lavender. The luxuriant finish lingers with dried fruits, cherry, and fig. This wine captures sangiovese’s essence with napa valley style. (Sold out)

The wine, like the vineyard itself, shows a wild, exotic side rarely seen in merlot. the color is a deep garnet, black cherry red. the nose is a complex mixture of roses, minerals, and cinnamon. on the palate, bright blackberry and an earthy minerality are complemented by nutmeg and hints of leather. silky, fine-grained tannins carry through the finish with flavors of graphite, cocoa and espresso bean. our Howell mountain merlot represents the height of what merlot can be, and we expect to see it evolve over the next twenty years.

The 2010 canto is a brilliant deep ruby color. The aromas on the nose bring to mind plums and boysenberries. The entry is a burst of beautiful blackberry flavors, followed by blueberries, leather, toasted oak, and hints of nutmeg. Finegrained, but firm tannins carry through a long-lasting finish of blackberries, cocoa, and graphite.

Our 2003 canto is a deep crimson color, with heavy notes of dark, ripe fruit on the nose, and hints of eucalyptus. The entry on the palate evolves into blackberries and bramble berries, with toast and delicate herbs. The finish is marked by creamy tannins, and the taste of cocoa. This canto will continue to evolve until 2016.

Our 2005 napa valley cabernet sauvignon has a great deal of finesse, and we can expect it to be at its peak from 2012 through 2018.

The 2010 lunatic red has great density, richness, and complexity, owing to the fact that potent components are blended to magnify their individual contribution. you will taste the blackberry and cassis of barrel aged syrah, bright raspberry and pomegranate fruit of sangiovese and grenache and the peppery spice and firm grip of petite Sirah's tannins. you will taste the unexpected.

The 2012 pinot grigio is a pale straw color. Aromas of ripe pear, guava, and honeysuckle carry the nose. Hints of green apple pastries fill the mouth and the fleshy texture carries through to a refreshing and balanced finish.

This wine exhibits rich pear, lemon curd, and baked apple aromas and flavors. The wine is warm and mouth filling, finishing with pronounced minerality and a palate cleansing snap of acidity.
