- Daniel BarnettOctober 19, 2014Disney Land of distilleries is an accurate description of this place. They represent the brand well more than bourbon in general. Must go if you like Makers like me.
- Jazzchic (crystal!!)March 30, 2013If there is a heritage tour available, reserve a spot ahead of time and do it! It is led by a member of the Samuels family, and different from a standard distillery tour in the Bourbon Trail.Upvoted 1 week ago
- James CJuly 17, 2016The tour and tasting were outstanding. It was one of the best I have ever been on. The guide Ben was very knowledgeable and really like able. The gift shop was outstanding as well.
- The TravelerMarch 15Nice setting on a nice day. Tour was good. Tasting was good but a bit rushed. Maker’s Mark really cares about their customers and products and it shows worth the stop. Nice drive in on rural roads.

- Dennis B.April 20, 2013Awesome tour. Hospitality all around. Highly recommend going here. The road in is a bit hairy, but not too bad. Definitely budget a lot for the gift shop. Lots of things to buy.
- AnnieMay 28, 2012Great tour, kid-friendly. (have a special place for them to sit during tasting). Picturesque. Distillery shuts down do a month in early summer. You can still do tour; stills are empty. Spotty cel svc.
- Ian RussellAugust 28, 2014We have travelled all over country, toured many distilleries and breweries. We were Disappointed that you need to sign up for an hour tour to get samples! Other then that, beautiful spot!
- The idea of sticking your finger in the fermenting tank might sound gross at first, but make sure to try a couple of the tanks to see how the mash changes as it goes through fermentation.

- Caroline GNovember 29, 2010Try 46. It's made with French oak sticks which are left to age in the bourbon for 2 months. 94 proof but very smooth.
- Katina Beckham-FrenchMarch 30, 2010A beautiful place to visit, but remember to check-in from Loretto (and NOT while driving!) Cellular coverage is spotty at best at the distillery.
- Scott RSeptember 6, 2010Ask for a sip of the secret un-aged version of the whisky, technically not bourbon at this point.
