On weekends, make sure to arrive in the morning to book a timeslot to view the James Turrell piece. They also have 2 Yayoi Kusama infinity rooms.

for the first year i lived in pittsburgh i thought this was an actual mattress factory. Its very modern, and unique. Bogo coupon in the entertainment book. Worth going to at least 3 times a year.

If you still don't believe us, check out the Mattress Factory, a contemporary-art space in an old factory…that produced mattresses. It's as vital an homage to Pittsburgh's prodigal son, Andy Warhol. Read more

visit after mid-september '13, they're switching a lot of the exhibits right now. even though we got in for half the cost, we only got to see half the art! can't wait to return and see it all.

Boasting "Art you can get into" all are installations taking up major space. Unique and funky, come in the morning and grab a bite at the Boxspring Cafe on the way out.

Give James Turrell's Pleiades all the time that your eyes need to adjust. You won't be disappointed. And don't forget to grab a snack in the cafe either.
