Red Wines
Although whites & roses give coolness & fragrance to indian cuisine, many of our guests prefer to drink red, especially w/ lamb dishes or curries w/ strong flavoured sauces. The natural inclination is to match big flavour wines to strong flavoured dishes, but this is a great challenge as tannin or spicy flavours in the wine can clash w/ those in the food. We have paid particular attention to this challenge in developing our red list & we are sure you’ll find several options to enhance your meal. We hope all these wines show fruit & richness – they are listed in rough order of weight from the lightest to the fullest.
