Once you are enrolled, we will make a preliminary schedule. The schedules can be adjusted later based on baby's development. I usually recommend: 4-5 Months: Baby is pushing up and smiling. 7-8 Months: Baby is sitting up and exploring. 11-12 Months: Baby is crawling, standing, even a bit of walking.

Sessions typically last an hour. We have outfit changes, diaper changes, snacks and play during the session. Some of my most precious photos come from spontaneous play time you never know when baby will decide to give you the perfect pose. Outdoor sessions and cake smash sessions may last longer.

Call about your session as soon as you know you want pregnancy photos! I recommend scheduling your maternity session to take place between weeks 32 and 36. I believe that bellies are beautiful at any size! However, I do feel it's important to consider how you are feeling, and I'd like you to be as comfortable as possible. The timing is really up to you. Some of my clients have had their maternity images taken at 28 weeks, while I have had a couple of moms sneak them in right before the baby arrives at 40+ weeks.

My photography studio is located in the Westlake area of Austin, Texas, near the corner of 360 and Bee Caves Road. We can take advantage of my indoor studio as well as a small outdoor area nearby. If you have a sentimental location that you would like to suggest, please let me know. My typical maternity session takes 90 minutes.

Mark this to-do off your list: schedule newborn photos with Moments from the Heart Photography The majority of families I work with document their maternity and newborn sessions with the Belly to Baby Plan, so their due date is on my calendar months in advance. The "classic" newborn look will only last for a short period. If you want the snuggled up, sleeping newborn images, these generally need to be done within the first 10 days, and the ideal time is between 5 and 7 days. You want to make sure your newborn photographer is on the list of very important people to contact as soon as your little one arrives. If you are reading this as your new addition is snuggled in your arms, please don't panic! Contact me and let's see what we can do. Being a birth photographer as well, I realize that deliveries are often unexpected and unpredictable. Its never to late to photograph your newborn, and I will do my best to work you in.

Newborn sessions typically last 3 hours. My studio provides a relaxed and peaceful environment, and the safety and comfort of your newborn is my top priority. We allow time for feedings, changing backdrops and sets, as well as cleaning up when accidents occur. Don't worry, during this time it is all on me well, hopefully the poop and pee won't be but either way, I will take care of cleanups. We have snacks and wi-fi, so when you aren't on camera with the little one, you can relax and prop up your feet (and your partner is encouraged to give you a foot massage) .
