Ottimino
Ottimino's land is a land of dreams. When he came to America in 1913, "Little Eight," so called because he was the last of eight children and the smallest, had big ambitions. He planted the land, especially proud of the vines that nurtured the grapes made into wine for his family's table. Ottimino became a favorite in the area, and always spoke proudly of his vines

Eponymous
Winemaker Robert Pepi named this portfolio of wines in a playful vein. Eponymous means “one for whom or which something is or is believed to be named.” His fanciful definition is “a play on words by one who is unable to use his family name on his own bottle of wine.
Ghost Block
Nestled on a gently sloping knoll, Ghost Block vineyard is named in honor of Napa's pioneer winemakers who rest in a tiny 150 year old cemetery on the north edge of Yountville - the epicenter of Napa Valley. Coveted by celebrity winemakers, the fruit from this and nearby vineyards has been the cornerstone of many of Napa's
Jelly Jar
Jelly Jar is hand crafted by a fourth generation Napa Valley winemaker whose roots date back to the late 1890s. Andy Pestoni's great-grandfather, Albino Pestoni, arrived in the Napa Valley from Italy and settled with his family. Making wine was part of their heritage and the family's original hand-built stone winery still stands today at the base of Howell Mountain. Andy continues the winemaking tradition with Jelly Jar, a wine reminiscent of those early days when times were a bit simpler.

Mirror Napa Valley
During the first four years that my wife, Stephanie, and I had the opportunity to spend in the San Francisco Bay area, we developed a passion for wine. The explosive richness of a well made Napa Cabernet unleashed something within me. I became enthralled with wine-- simple as that. Football had guided us here, to "wine country" as my boys would say, and in those years we met new friends and explored Napa. The pure physical beauty of "the valley" drew us in.
Oakville Winery
Oakville Winery was first established in November 1877 as Brun and Chaix, Oakville Winery. It was the 9th bonded winery in California. In 1993 when we purchased the winery and surrounding vineyards, it was sold to us as The Oakville Winery. Our Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards are planted adjacent to the winery, the essence of an estate definition in the very center of the Oakville appellation.

Condos, who first became friends while they were students at UC Davis. They share a long standing passion for Chenin Blanc and fondness for the more obscure grape varieties.
William Knuttel
Ottimino's winemaker, William Knuttel, is uncompromising, ever curious, a winemaker's winemaker. For him, wine is terroir and style and technique, and it is more than that too. Wine is geography and it is a study in psychology - geography because the land nurturing the grapes stamps a character into the wine, and psychology because the experiences of past winemaking ultimately find their way into the current endeavor.

California Certified Organic Farmers
, Napa Wine Company uses organic vineyard management techniques. Selective leaf and shoot removal reduces fungus and mildew pressure. Cover crops like oats, peas, mustard and vetch, are planted between rows to naturally inhibit soil erosion, reduce dust, restore nutrients and encourage microbiological activity. Even grape skins and stems are composted after harvest and added back to the soil, replenishing nitrogen and potassium and increasing microbiological activity. Block House Vineyard
Block House is the largest of our vineyards at 450 acres and planted to Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Syrah. The vineyard is named for pioneer George C. Yount’s block house, the first Kentucky style block house west of the Mississippi. In the design of a block house, the top floor juts out over the ground floor so that inhabitants can protect the structure. Block houses were often constructed for defense in frontier areas. Lincoln Creek Vineyard
Known for its Merlot, the 80 acres of Lincoln Creek is located between Highway 29 on the west and the Napa River on the east in the Oakville appellation. It is named for a small creek that cuts through the middle of the vineyard.
The Mill Race Vineyard is cradled by a curve in the Napa River’s eastern bank. George C. Yount’s original grist/flour mill was powered by a “race” – a diverted part of the river once on the site of this vineyard. Located in the Yountville appellation, Mill Race Vineyard is sheltered by the Yountville Hills to the west and is situated just below the border of the Oakville appellation to the north. This block of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot is 32 acres.

Vineyard
Sauvignon Blanc reigns here, occupying all of the 32 acres. The vineyard was acquired by Napa Wine Company in 1986. The property’s original owner was American Naval Officer Admiral Willey, who called the beloved land his “anchorage.”
