Cardo
Cardiovascular conditioning classes have a variety of health benefits. They can help lower blood pressure, cholesterol and help to control diabetes.The goal with a proper cardiovascular regimen is to strengthen the heart while burning fat to encourage weight loss. Nyhrc cardio classes include

A calorie burning interval hoop training workout.
Diezel Kick Impact
A mixed martial arts impact circuit incorporating elements of kung fu, karate and muay thai. Focus is on punching, kicking and technique using mitts and kicking pads.
Aquacise, Aqua Swing, Aqua Fit, Aqua Boot Camp
A cross training workout featuring non-impact aerobics and strength training exercises in a pool. Aqua fit uses buoyant cuffs in a circuit format.

Yoga Stretch, Gentle Yoga
A yoga class suitable for beginners emphasizing gentle movement, alignment and stretching.
Vinyasa Yoga / Athletic Yoga
Emphasis is on linking breath with movement, strength and form.
Warm Yoga
A series of hatha yoga poses starting with breathing to warm the body and ending with breathing to cleanse.
Core Yoga
A blend of yoga, pilates and strength training techniques.
Pilates Mat, Pilates Circle Workout, Pilates Props
A total body workout that restores muscular balance while strengthening and stretching the body. Pilates props uses bands and circles. Reformer pilates recreates the reformer experience.
Ballet Sculpt, Dance Strength
Basic ballet bar and floor exercises. Dance strength concentrates on core stabilization, proper form and alignment, to create lean, toned muscles (like a dancer) .
Melt Strength™
Rebalance and strengthen the stabilizing muscles that tend to weaken in the body, thus promoting optimal fitness.
Body Fusion
A fusion of pilates, stretch and sculpt.
Tai Chi
An ancient chinese martial arts system of paced exercises utilizing breathing techniques.

Hatha Yoga

Restorative Yoga

Iyoga™

Fluidity™
Fluidity combines the best movements from ballet, yoga and therapeutic movement to tone and elongate muscles, while improving total body strength, flexibility and balance. The "fluidity bar" allows a participant to use their own body weight to strengthen and stretch.

Sauna
Even the most active person can't resist a little relaxation. After all, your body calls for it. So take a break and relax your muscles in our whirlpool. Kept between 102 104 degrees, you'll have no problem forgetting about everything. At every nyhrc location, you have access to our turkish rock saunas and steam rooms. When you are surrounded by 118-120 degrees, you'll enjoy just sitting back and taking in the heat.
Pools
There's nothing like a refreshing workout with one of the best pieces of health equipment we have: water. Most of our locations feature beautiful swimming pools. Need some company? End your workout, ready to face the city again by soothing your body and your mind. Nyhrc offers a variety of massage sessions, including swedish, aromatherapy, shiatsu, sports therapy, medical, deep tissue and reflexology. All sessions are administered by trained and licensed professionals and are scheduled for 55-minute sessions for maximum benefits. If you have less time, a 25-minute full body massage or a 10-minute chair massage session are available as well.

Sports Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue therapists look for shortened muscles and/or distorted postural patterns. With slow deep strokes, the therapist works to lengthen the muscle fibers, to restore balance, and to reestablish structural and functional integrity to the greatest degree possible for the client. Deep tissue massage increases range of motion and restores economy of motion.
Aromatherapy
The use of volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being. All sessions are administered by trained and licensed professionals and are scheduled for 55-minute sessions, for maximum benefits. 25-Minute full body and 10-minute chair massage sessions are available as well. Please note: it is our suggestion for you to not eat two hours prior to a session unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. And before a session, a warm soapy shower is required. Basketball
Instead of catching the game on tv, why not catch the ball at one of our basketball courts? Nyhrc gives you everything you need to show off your dribbling skills. Play one-on-one with a co-worker. Get a few of your buddies together for a match.
Swedish Massage
A series of light stroking motions followed by deeper movements intended to reduce tension, improve circulation, relieve swelling and decrease or alleviate muscular soreness.The five basic movements involved are:

Shiatsu
Finger pressure applied to energy meridians within the body to balance the energy flow that may be blocked or restricted in certain areas.
Medical Massage
Used to treat a variety of different injuries and illnesses. It is extremely important to inform the massage therapist of your diagnosed problem to be massaged correctly.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a powerful, natural health science that studies the relationship of the reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears to the rest of the body so that these areas can be worked on with the fingers and thumbs in a manner that will lead to improved health and the maintenance of good health.
Locker and Laundry
Our locker rooms are designed to fit all of your needs. Whether changing before and after a workout or massage, or just decompressing in the sauna or whirlpool, you have access to a locker for the day or by the month. Towels are provided at no additional cost, and attendants are present to keep the area clean.

Hit the courts at three of our locations! We even have leagues for the competitor in you. Whether you're into a leisurely game or some intense competition, you'll find whatever you like at any of the following locations: whitehall (wall street), 50th street midtown east or 56th street midtown west. Squash Round Robin Days
(Courts are free for members to find pick-up games) : at whitehall street - every monday from 5:30pm until close at 50th street - every tuesday during lunch from noon until 2pm, and every saturday from 3:00 - 5:30pm
League Matches (Competing with Other Squash Clubs in New York City)
Nyhrc is a member of the msra (metropolitan squash racquets association) . The season starts in november and ends around march/april.
Racquetball
Round robin days: mon and wed from 12:00pm to 1:30pm and friday from 6:00pm to 10:30pm.
Tournaments
Nyhrc hosts tournaments within for club members and for non-members. These tournaments run periodically throughout the year. Usually in the beginning of fall and at the end of winter.
Rock Climbing
Okay, so you don’t have time to travel the world and climb real mountains. That's why we have the next best thing. Our rock climbing wall is just as good. And you can do it on your lunch break. Imagine toning your body while having some fun. Give yourself a break from climbing the corporate ladder
Squash Email List
Cory azriliant also maintains an email list of all racquetball player members and non-members. He emails related events and outings to people looking for matches at certain days and times.
League Matches (Within the Club)
Just before the spring and starting in the fall. Leagues range from novice to expert or novice to 5.0 level squash.
Tournaments: Nyhrc Hosts Tournaments Within for Club Members and for Non-Members. These Tournaments Run Periodically Throughout the Year. Usually in the Beginning of Fall and at the End of Winter.

Wallyball
Wallyball is played every thursday from 6pm until close at the whitehall street location.Either racquetball court at the whitehall street location can be booked to play wallyball.
