- Kevin HoytMay 22, 2014Oakland City Center BART station across the street. If you are coming into Oakland, the 11th Street exit out of the station is the closest to the hotel.
- High floors offer a great view of the Greater Bay Area. Second time here this year, wonderful desk staff! Rooms are a Marriott Standard, comfortable and clean.
- Shruti PAugust 7, 2013One of the nicer Marriott's I've stayed at. Unfortunately The lounge lacks variety found at other Marriott properties. Mozzarella cheese sticks 7days a week anyone... For the past 3 months. Sigh.
- Recently updated, walking distance to a lot of bars/restaurants in downtown Oakland. BART is across the street.
- They really take good care of you in their meeting spaces, but their charges for support equipment and services make them expensive for meetings.
- B SFebruary 24, 2013I stayed at the courtyard Marriott. It was nice. Super Bowl Sunday I stayed there. All I want to say is there is a dark haired white girl at the front desk who is the hottest thing I've ever seen!!
- anand Ⓜ️March 27, 2017A lifesaver from the 12th Street BART. The code for the lobby restrooms is 2468. Don't tell anyone.
- On sunset, check out thru your window and it has an amazing view of downtown SF
- Mary NublaOctober 30, 2011Love this hotel. Very helpful staff, clean rooms, fast room service. I have NO idea where the negative reviews are coming from!
- Oakland's Art of Home Show - THE Show About Your HomeFebruary 28, 2011SEE OUR NEW SHOW DATE FOR OAKLAND! Oakland's Art of Home "THE Show About Your Home" is now August 5-7, 2011. It's our first show at the fabulous Oakland Marriott City Center! Come enjoy the long await
- Lee PorebskiOctober 22, 2011I saw a number of negative comments about this hotel but haven't experienced anything to complain about. Must be the competition trying to get business.
- Rebecca StuchDecember 23, 2011Room was nice. Great view of tribune bldg. Staff very friendly and efficient. Love the new color scheme.
- pja666July 13, 2016no room service. they let you get delivered to your room which sucks and no coffee delivered to room but you can make it with $6 bottle of water because tap water was imported from Flint.
- This is definitely the nicer Marriott, but they charge for in room wifi if you're not a rewards gold or platinum elite member
- Quit complaining about the elevators, they are being modernized.
- Read carefully before drink the bottle of water in the room. It's not free! Wi-Fi is the only thing that free but only at the lobby. Pretty good hotel though
- Chaun HallOctober 13, 2011The restroom is by the Grand Ballroom! They're so upity that they won't tell you where the restroom is if you're not a guest!
- Breakfast pricing is through the roof. Internet is $50 a day and the standard rooms are small as hell. Stay at the courtyard a block away.
- Ryan BlockJune 16, 2017Meh. Nothing too special, but comes with Marriott standards which ends up being one of the better hotels in Downtown Oakland.
- Brandie HendersonSeptember 2, 2010Beware: no ice bucket in rooms and ice machine on even numbered floors. I used a cup and refillable bottle to take ice back to my rm.
- Try the strawberry/lemon infused water at the check-in desk. Very refreshing!
- Erin MartinAugust 6, 2011Come see Innate Expressions for some great bling effect for the chiropractic world....
- Joseph IbeAugust 5, 2011Looking forward to The Wave brought to us by my alma mater Life Chiropractic College West!
- Internet - 10 or 14, depending on speed. Recently renovated. Rooms are not great. Elevator is indeed a death trap. Lounge is for exec members. Food is not very expensive, even at bar. Gym is good.
- 4'5" deep pool, plenty of deck chairs; $1 wash, $0.75 dry in the laundry room.
- Gavin RobertsonOctober 25, 2010Gotta say, having "Gold" status has it perks... executive suite! Even the bathroom had a lounge.
