- Minnie KimNovember 29, 2014Beef Rendang is sooo delicious. You can't go wrong with anything at Penang. Malaysian Iced Tea and Iced Coffee are both wonderful as well!
- LavyApril 17, 2013Best Malaysian food in town, try all the signature dishes (roti canai, Hainanese chicken, nasi lemak, laksa...) Very good price. Plenty of seating space.
- Lillian ChenJanuary 3, 2014get the roti canai appetizer (light, airy naan-like bread with curry sauce for dipping) and nasi lemak (curry chicken with coconut rice combo)
- David C., LMTJuly 2, 2015Nasi Lemak (image below) is great. Good place to get your homesick bugs away and feels much better with Kopi-bing (iced coffee w/ condensed milk).
- JingXun HuOctober 27, 2016Couldn't squeeze time to dine here so had takeaway char koay teow instead. It was fettucine pasta. Thin bean sprouts. Small shrimp. Miss the lard and searing wok work. OK-ish. Will try the rest
- Sofia UzFebruary 20, 2015Oh this is gooooood! Try anything seafood! Appetizer mixed plate is great, so are soups and curry. Green curry is superb
- Roti canai, Malaysian iced tea, chicken satay, chicken or coconut rice, beef rendang, chow kueh two, nasi lemak. 4/5
- Elizabeth NagarajahJuly 7, 2016We have been coming here for over 10 years. Try the steamed ginger fish, Malaysian style ribs and coconut drink.
- Herman SaksonoJune 8, 2013Truly authentic malay cuisine. Get the nasi lemak with curried tender chicken. Oyster omelette and asparagus in XO sauce are good too.
- Rob CoenenJuly 28, 2016Far cry from Malaysian-as-I-know-it. Menu has 75% straight up Chinese items. My Bahasa is pretty limited but trying to order atjar, soto ayam, krupuk, or sambal oelek was met with blank stares here 😑
- Swemeatballs .March 2, 2011Amazing Malaysian cuisine - however found the nasi lemak to be more westernised than authentic. The char kuew teow or Hokkien Mee were excellent. Also the roti canai and murtabak were very good.
- Bonnie ChenMay 25, 2014They have such a huge selection of entrees. Definitely try the Indian pancake when you come here. Their red bean shake use to be good.
- Willie SoNovember 27, 2010Best meal in Boston ever! Get the chicken, rice, and mango shrimp. Can't go wrong. I might just move to Boston for this place. This means a lot since I'm from Los Angeles. But still go Lakers!
- Thaniya AmaralilitMay 13, 2010Roti Canai is hands down the best. Seafood with crispy noodle , Hainanese chicken and Beef Rendang are among my favorite. On hot summer day, cool it off with ABC - shaved ice with syrup.
- Steve HerreraJune 12, 2012Go Family style: Doing several apps and a large shared soup is the best way to sample so many amazing dishes.
- Priyanka RavaalMay 28, 2013Best veggie pad Thai in Boston! The place is pretty decked out too. Good for date night
- You can't go wrong with any items on the menu here. Everything is super good. The only downside is the attitude of the staff.
- Roti canai, hainamese chicken rice, beef rendang & kangkung belachan are my fav! Best place to go when you are really hungry, very fast service! Unfriendly staff :(
- Liss KBJanuary 8, 2013Get the roti canai and the mango chicken with a side of rice. You won't be disappointed!
- Lily BJanuary 26, 2013Advisory: pineapple fried rice served in actual pineapple. May cause giddiness, elation, and subsequent food coma.
- order a refreshing glass of fresh coconut water - indian pancake and mee siam - soooo good!
- Kirit KottamJuly 17, 2015Roti Kanai is good but other than that the remaining stuff is average compared to Penang in NJ and Philly!
- Stephanie OrmeDecember 19, 2017There was something in our appetizer that was insanely spicy, so much that I couldn't taste my entree for about 15 minutes after.
- Marc VoseJuly 8, 2016Meh. Rendang was a bit watery and weak. My friends' curries were similarly lacking in flavor. Perhaps they neuter it for a western audience; not up to the standard I experienced in Malaysia.
- William ButlerAugust 22, 2013Diners in appearance are 1/3 Far East, 1/3 south Asian, 1/3 European, like in Singapore.
- Ajay ChainaniOctober 5, 2013The roti canai was good! The mango chicken tasted like sweet & sour chicken.
- Kenneth TiongOctober 1, 2012Tolerable facsimile of Malaysian food. (claimer: I'm Malaysian-Singaporean). Popiah. 3.25/5. Too bland. Needs more lap cheong or tauhu. Beef rendang. 3.75/5. Too tough, too much coconut milk in beef.
